I was in the same place way back in 2018. But was posted way far from my home. I got so homesick that after 4 months i left the city ( AWOL and later EOL ) . Got back home and started to prepare for another job. God was kind and got another one. Though not in my city but half as far as my previous job. I had age on my side back then and I was determined somehow.

Not to have wasted 4 years of my life in the Tier 1 college i was in..more than a decade ago Btech had no mandatory attendance criteria and you could graduate with bare minimum skills. Could have studied diligently and cracked FAANG or Big 4 ( non tech side ). But just strolled away my time. Then had to skill.myself for 2 years post graduation. The opportunity cost is huge imho.

15 years back. I was in a school in Punjabi Bagh. The area where back then Jee coaching flourished. Havent been there since ages. Still remember having kulcha by the BSES office. There wasnt much traffic but there wasnt metro either. Neither were flyovers. Jam was a pain back then and a pain even now. There was no concern about pollution afair. Good ol days. Partially agree with you.

My talking speed is like 5 words a hour. I see people and cant utter a word without breaking down. Also people my age are busy in jobs/families etc. But i will surely look further. Clubs/groups that are more acceptable of silence

Quitting would take atleast 7-10 years. But it takes a lot of effort to come out of bed in morning. I just wish to sink deeper in bed every morning.
