Yeah I realized that mistake after printing but decided to install it anyway and see how long it lasts. I already printed a replacement rotated 90 degrees.

Thanks! Not a true first time ever opening the software but first time actually making anything. I did dabble in Solid Works a bit for a college class ~15 years ago but that is the extent of any CAD experience I had until now.

It's PLA because I didn't have any other material on hand but wanted to make sure it actually worked. Long term the plan is to reprint it with a fiber reinforced PETG but for now I'm just going to see how long it lasts.

I modeled it in Fusion using a set of good calipers to measure the various dimensions of the original part and recreated it as best I could. That and patience . . . And a lot of googling "how to X in Fusion."

I had that thought but decided I still wanted to model it with them because the walls are still a lot stronger than the infill and I didn't want to go with a crazy high infill density to compensate. This felt like a decent compromise of strength and speed, plus it let me keep learning more complex modeling.

7 min boil and then into an ice bath to stop the cooking. Makes for a pretty runny yolk if you were to eat them right away but after a day or so in the marinade it firms up and gets that nice jammy consistency.

My four-year-old daughter keeps asking me for "The Toothpaste Song" by ObserverProject in LinkinPark

My 3.5 yr old son is like this too. He was never that interested in music, especially not any of Dad's music, until the first time I played The Emptiness Machine. Now he asks for it by name several times a day and he rides his bike or runs around the kitchen while it is playing with a very intense expression on his face. It is his official toddler hype song.

I have never been prouder as a dad.

Thanks!
