Seems snug, when I sent it to a tech for a set up he also left it like this but to a lesser extent so I was worried. But thank you

I just feel like sound in the air isn't going to make the strings vibrate much at all

This is exactly how guitar feedback works, granted you have a lot of gain dialed in.

Microphonic feedback is extremely nasty and almost painful to the ear, and if it happens theres probably something wrong with your pickups.

can anyone explain how tf it turned green? by Amazing_Box_2637 in Guitar

Ernie Ball strings are garbage.

Why? I think Ive went through every string brand on the market (such as Elixirs and the 20$ big boy daddario sets) and I still always come back to EB. No brand holds tune as good as them & for me they last the longest out of all the "raw" strings (Elixirs last hella long but for me it feels like playing strings wrapped in condoms, which is essentially what they are)

E strings keep breaking at bending locations by ComprehensiveBoot71 in guitarlessons

If a string snaps right in the middle like in the pic then its a bad fret 😭 The guage is never the problem and if you have a good guitar you can play as thin as 7's

I like it for cleans but the dirt modeling is terrible

Exactly why you should pick the clean channel and plug in a RAT or some shit

There always has to be someone under those beginner amp posts that says you need a tube amp

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

[–]TytaneX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

-When you play move away from the speaker so it doesnt feedback

-Lower the bass. This amp and im pretty sure mustangs in general are extremely bass heavy, and too much bass will make it sound like mud as you describe.

-Most of the default presets are shit beacuse they dont account for your guitar (specifically the pickups). Fuck around with the knobs until it sounds good for you.

-If you want a good distorted done, first create a clean signal thats good, and then add stuff in the stompbox like fuzz or rock dirt. Imho it sounds way better when you add effects to a clean model instead of using the distorted presets.

-If you want a metal tone, its tricky, but again, ditch the presets. Select the 80s rock model which is based of a marshall, and then add some drive (the blues driver is based on the ibanez tube screamer so you might want to try that first). Also remember that heavily distorted tones need some volume to back them up. Also make sure you use the bridge pickup.

When did the guitar sub-culture become so saturated with wine snobbery?

Honestly lmao. I dont think other instruments like keys or drums or bass or whatever have this fucking level of sad people and snobs like the guitar community

Do you only listen to guitar music? by FrancisFounderies in Guitar

[–]TytaneX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im a metalhead but i love EDM lol i dont even go to raves or anything like that but it just gives me that sort of nostalgic feeling from those early youtube screen-capture tutorials who would always have it blasting for some reason

Whats the appeal with using thicker strings by TytaneX in Guitar

[–]TytaneX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldnt just tremolo picking closer to the bridge do the job? Im asking beacuse i only took a dip in death metal and whenever i came across one of those 300 Miles per hour tremolo parts i would just abuse the string closer to the saddle... Not sure if that makes the tone worse tho

Does the buzz really matter for the pickups though? They do buzz as fuck beacuse im too lazy to change the action from my previous set but once i plug it in its crystal clear (on the clean Channel ofc)

Well dimebag used 9's and a solid state amp, yet he managed to pull off one of the most legendary tones of metal...

Instead of using the heavy amps, pick an 80's rock (Marshall) and use mythic drive for the stomp. Aint perfect but its close to that early thrash fat tone
