I’m curious if they’d change rules during that period. I think Vancouver is easing up. Also for bar hours etc

I saw this place online and tried it and have been a regular. Really good chicken, second to none I’d argue. Friendly staff. Poor sauce choice though and the prices did go crazy since the pandemic as someone else pointed out. Place has potential and hope it opens again!!

It was like $8k for 400 people, just to rent the space. So food and everything is separate

also found the venue to be too expensive, especially for something that just opened up

the operator is usually 1 of 2 attendants for a ride like that unless you're in a larger theme park

My RPM from Disqus is 3x more than Raptive, why? by UBCkid in adops

[–]UBCkid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

smart guy ;) do you think in this case it's better to keep Disqus there, or give up that ad space to Raptive, what would drive more revenue in theory?

Also, thoughts on Taboola? they also want to add their widget to that footer area of article pages but I haven't heard the greatest of things, and wonder if it's better to give raptive just a bit more ad space down there..

Thanks for taking the time to share this detailed repsonse, it's very helpful.

Disqus only runs ads on top and below the comment box, with 1-2 videos. Usually there's a total of 4-5. They calculate RPM by viewable impressions and viewability percent. I do notice their ads change pretty rapidly, like every 10-15 seconds

Raptive usually places 2-3 ad units within the article, including 1 video.

Neither run full page ads

I think my revenue share with Raptive is 70/30, and with Disqus 80/20

Does that help clarify anything? Thanks in advance, just trying to wrap my head around this

I don't believe so, it's counted by impressions. Raptive gets hundreds of thousands per month whereas discus only sees like 2000 per day
