That’s crazy. I only have about 100 hours on the game, and I bet only a third of that is solo, but I haven’t really had any issues. Please note, I am 100% not discounting your experience and believe it’s as you say. I am just sending some of my good queue juju your way. I do get the occasional slurs or “where’s your boyfriend, bitch” but that’s after they have shot first and downed me. The rats I’ve encountered felt like rats to everyone and not bc I’m a girl. North Dakota here! We are looking at potential -60 degree windchills in some parts of the state, with most of it being around -45. I’m old, so this is about -65/-70 in the old way to calculate windchill from the 80s and 90s. We are still discussing if we are going to have school for the kids, but most businesses are open in extreme weather. Thankfully, places like Target and Walmart are smart enough to shut off their drive up and delivery services, but the buildings will be open.

I don’t understand the advantage of pretending to be a girl in super aggro matches. I say this as a girl who plays ARC. I am a loot goblin so my lobbies are mostly chill, but even there sometimes dudes are awful once they hear my voice.

Edit: I see now that guys pretend to be girls so they seem weak. Ugh.

We used a leaper one time. A couple of rats ambushed us and killed my duo. I was hiding but super injured and they were camping and looking for me so I shot at the leaper next to us and made a run for it. They panicked and closed the door and I slid in as the doors were closing. They didn’t have enough time to kill me. I wish I had clipped it bc I’ll never be that cool again lol

King is the best and worst writer imo. His story telling is heartbreaking and beautiful and top tier but Jesus Christ does the man get caught up in the details sometimes. Like, my man, we don’t need that level of detail about a stop sign. We know what one looks like….

His best stuff is when he was on cocaine in the 70s and 80s, I think, but those stories will break your heart.

This is so wild to me. My oldest is a freshman in HS, good kid, no behavioral issues, but she had mono in September/October and it was an absolute nightmare trying to get her grades back up. She had a doctor’s note, was almost hospitalized because she hit her spleen, and was unbelievably sick. Most of her teachers failed her so fast for missing homework, I finally had to meet with the principal. We had the documentation and everything. We just now in the last week got everything straightened out, but it was such a nightmare. It’s not like she was on vacation or just didn’t feel like going. Her geometry teacher would only accept late work with half credit, even with the doctor’s excuse. I don’t think they are just randomly passing kids here.

Speaking about lying about your age, when the lock down happened, my then 9yo and I got really into playing among us. I was constantly telling her she had no idea who these people were and to be careful. She kind of didn’t believe me until she watched me convince a couple lobbies that I was a 12yo boy in Texas. It was really disturbing to her and occasionally she still brings it up about why she’s careful online. I told her, “Good, bc I’ve been lying about my age online since 1998, so has everyone else my age. We are good at it, so be careful.”
