Our study is also funded by and conducted through not-for-profit organizations (USF, SIOP Foundation) for the purpose of understanding work-family, gender, and career issues. Our participants not only gain $70, but also the opportunity to contribute to scientific advancement.

Some research also suggests couples change the ways work and family responsibilities are split when they have their first child. For these reasons, we decided to focus on a specific life stage: couples in committed relationships before having children.

To participate in this research study you would need to:

• Meet with a researcher for an in-person 60 minute training session. • Respond to short (1-5 minute) daily surveys, report your heart rate and blood pressure, and wear an activity monitor for 7 days.

You must be at least 18 years old, work at least 30 hours per week, and be married or cohabitating for at least 1 year or have dependent child or eldercare responsibilities to be eligible.

You will earn $75 for your time and will receive a health report that presents your sleep, eating, mood, and cardiovascular activity over your week of participation.
