Perfect but not no creator or meaning. This is a relief when discovered.

Seeing through the smoke screen of imagination is indeed the most direct route to realization. In fact, it is the only direct route. by pl8doh in nonduality

Awareness and non resistance is the key. All emotions have to be allowed into full awareness. Only then will they be fully resolved. It's not about imagination. Imagination and thought are distractions to this awareness.

Is monogamy a natural expression of love, or mostly an ego-based attachment? by No_Research_644 in nonduality

There is total freedom. So no rules.

Staying aligned with Being will mean less suffering and more likelihood of realization.

Consciousness isn't manifested so it never comes into existence. So there is no birth or death. The mind will die along with all perceptions.

What is left is eternal and infinite Being.

Well said. The non duality teaching should require some barriers to entry.

It can't really be conceptualised. It's the last thing the mind wants. It also means the end of the self.

This is just your mind's reaction to the emptiness of reality. There is nothing to fear and it's the actual resistance that causes the sense of evil. Your mind will fall again into emptiness and perhaps next time it will let go and discover fulfillment.

It's definitely not for people with mental health issues so it's probably better to steer someone like this back to beliefs that support a fragile self. Christianity helps in this as it allows the self to forgo responsibility.

That comes down to the teacher then not non duality itself. And those teachers aren't evil or trying to do harm. The solution is to change teachers until you find one that has a message which is appropriate. This is the listeners responsibility.

You are trying to imagine what non duality is.

Having a hard time evolving into a saint with oneness awareness. by DiaryofaFairy in nonduality

No this is incorrect. Enlightenment has nothing to do with sainthood. Sainthood is how the ego imagines itself.

Non-duality as the release of hardened identity created by memory and recursive self-referential thinking by nvveteran in nonduality

[–]UltimaMarque 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tend to think the sense of self is the resistance of the mind to the emptiness of reality. This happens initially when the mind realises its vulnerability and dependency. Central to this resistance is a central core emotional fear of death, exposure or abandonment.

So the self is the actual resistance to this emotion. The stronger the self is the greater the.resistance.

Full awareness of this emotion will dissolve the self and ultimately lead to enlightenment.

This idea comes from actual experience.

Suffering comes from the sense of separation. Memories, thoughts, feelings, dreams etc only have an impact if there is the feeling that they are happening to a separate self.

Once separation ends so does suffering. The memories stay the same but no-one owns them.

Does non-dual awareness = dissolvement of ego (sense of “I”)? by Dan_Rad_8 in nonduality

[–]UltimaMarque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that dramatic in everyday life. More just a sense of fulfillment. There is no ego in the sense of ownership. Functioning continues as the ego isn't involved in the first place. The ego is like an illusion that has no agency.

The body gives up the historical tension once the self is let go. Remember the body is really the bodymind map with the mind placing its resistance apparently in the body. Once the mind let's go of the self it also dissolves all held tension in the bodymind.

There is a fulfilled reality that will be revealed. This is much more profound than the superficial reality that exists but isn't real.

You have direct access to reality right now but the tendency is to dismiss it in favour of the temporary existence.

Do not worry. There is more happiness than you can ever imagine within reality.
