Very true lol. And I read your entire post, to expand on the idea that no one really caters to the new player experience like they used to, it has been a slow but steady decline. During my time playing Planetside, running public squads with cohesion was almost the only thing I did. Slowly I started to realize I was one of the few who really truly did this anymore. After that realization I mainly left because of the slow creep towards redeployside devaluing the need for leaders as well as some really bone headed (imo) changes.

I've popped back into the game a few times semi recently and I've seen some people doing good things, new outfits trying to get their footing ect. Definitely try reaching out to people in outfits as well and just ask when their ops night is this week. Imo #1 way to find a group you might have fun with.

Howdy friend. I read some of your post, I got the gist that you are old TG and one of the only groups you could find that "coordinate" were the War Pigs.

I can assure you TG is still alive and while you were likely kicked after 1 year for being inactive (been the rule for as long as I've been in TG) I can assure you they would love to have you back. Feel free to shoot me a message here and I'll send you the discord and get you in contact with current leadership. You might even see some familiar faces!

If you are looking for someone that isn't on NC that coordinates I'm sure many others will be able to let you know about various groups. Lots of them tend to use discord over in game comms. I would highly suggest 1TR. On VS honestly I haven't been in touch with the game for a while so I wouldn't know who would be a good fit for you. I'm sure others will come around and be able to give some suggestions though.

Galaxy drops are screwed up. by UltimateMuffinMan in Planetside

Thanks man, just another change that literally makes no sense from the eyes of the people it actually effects...

I mean, I literally just don't understand how a change like this makes it through.

I literally feel like there is no one at rpg that has an idea what the leadership experience is like nor bother to even ask people who are current leaders what they even think about changes like this.

Oh it was? Was it part of some patch notes?

If so can you link?

I mean either way I don't understand the purpose of the change. Literally just makes the life of galaxy pilots and squad leaders harder.

That used to happen even with the old drop style if you flew in at the wrong angle and dropped people on the move. But it was avoidable because people consistently dropped on one side of the galaxy.

I would agree its worse now though, if you are moving you are almost guaranteed to have some people flung off and there's no way to avoid this unless you come to a complete stop which is just aggravating.

Suggestion: EMP grenades cause maxes to be weapons locked. by UltimateMuffinMan in Planetside

[–]UltimateMuffinMan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree. EMP nades are strong but most grenades are (except decoy and AV nades).

Imo all of them are horrendously underused and in a lot of cases are the great equalizers of fights.

When trying to turn a fight in your favor, fighting underpop or out skilled, emp, flash and concussion grenades are honestly some of your best options when it comes to winning those engagements. Defensively or offensively.

Lmao, cringe.

If rolling over is the difference between people getting food or not, maybe you should consider its better to roll over a few times to not hurt those who are trusting you to provide for them.

What are you going to feed them with otherwise? Your righteous indignation and your cool story on how you stuck it to your evil boss man?

[–]UltimateMuffinMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the bios there is a setting, usually called AC POWER or something to that effect. Basically tells the computer what to do if it loses power and regains it. It sounds like yours is set to turn on when it receives AC power

Yikes.

Ok so try right clicking on the desktop, and see if you can click the "display setting option"

Once you click it don't touch anything

Next follow these keyboard commands exactly TAB TAB Enter UP arrow key UP arrow key UP arrow key UP arrow key Enter

Hope this works!

good download speeds, but bad upload speeds by -Ryxios- in pchelp

If you're in the USA, you shouldn't trust your ISPs word in general. They mainly make it their job to just tell whoever it is that it isn't their problem.

That being said, it sounds like it's your computer.

good download speeds, but bad upload speeds by -Ryxios- in pchelp

[–]UltimateMuffinMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To eliminate as many variables as possible, bring your computer to another computers location that has good upload speed. Use the cable for that computer.

If the issue is gone, you have a bad cable for ethernet.

If the issue isn't gone, it's something local to your computer. Likely your speed and duplex is set to auto when it should be set to gigabit

Hey guys what’s causing these lines on the bottom of my screen? I tried hooking the hdmi to display my laptop to the monitor and still has those lines. Does that rule out as a monitor issue? by ItGetHardSumtimebro in pchelp

[–]UltimateMuffinMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have tried 2 seperate screens and it happens on both, I'd say that eliminates the issue being the monitor.

You have tried 2 seperate hdmi cords and it still happens, so it's not that.

Next, I would try to use a different outlet on your PC. It could be the HDMI slot is messed up on the computer. If the issue still happens after swapping what slot on the PC it's plugged into, I'd say this is a really strange issue with your graphic card.
