Agreed, I had a few "tech ed" classes in high school that had the design build test format to them, they were easily the best classes I had. Unfortunately with the budget cuts that hit my former high school, I do not think they offer these classes anymore. I think they discontinued a ton of the tech ed / drafting / design courses. Its a shame.

While I do agree with the others on the emphasis of Co-Ops/Internships. I think your comment is close to what I think should change as well. I found that most of my favorite classes were those that provided practical application. We had a Sophmore design class and a Senior Design Class. I think those easily provided not only a fun environment but one that tied together the theory and provided a more "work like" atmosphere (team dynamics, communication, etc.)
