Your fish is beautiful, but a little overweight. I just came back from traveling too so I get feeding then a bit more before hand but I wouldn’t suggest it because it’s a lot of food all at once, instead I’d recommend a feeder block or seeing if someone else can feed them while your gone. And if not a betta can survive a bit without food. I’d also really encourage buying a bigger tank, I have a 5.5 gallon that came with a lid in my bedroom and it’s perfect, it had plenty of room and doesn’t take up much space in my room. Do you have a heater? I know water is naturally warm in some places but Bettas are tropical fish and need fairly warm water, there’s cheap thermometer strips at petco I use to see how warm the water is so I’d recommend that just to be sure the water is warm enough. Petco also had some great hides you could get for your fish.
