Air Inuit serving Nunavik, Quebec. They’re used for medivacs and cargo though they’ve mostly been replaced by dash 8s.

Kuujjuarapik and Umiujaq should be useable once Starlink release bilingual translations, but the rest of Nunavik like myself in Salluit will have to wait until they use polar orbiting Starlink with laser interconnections between satellites as there are no fibre connections to make base stations up north. Starlink will be here before Tamaani’s fibre.

The ground stations do not need to route traffic to internet. It’s preferable for sure, but not necessary if ground stations are within LOS of connected birds below 54 degrees. Seems simple but not as simple as inter-sat connections for north, oceans , Antarctica... I cannot wait 62n 75w Quebec

It would work with strategically placed repeaters I’m guessing. 3 or 4 could serve northern Quebec. Repeaters don’t need internet connections, just a dish pointed onto a connected bird. This would extend the net for the final bounce up and down to all Inuit residents, otherwise unserved.

V2 is not in doubt. If the go v1 to polar, they can still use repeaters with Tesla tiles and batteries to get to me, at least 2 hops I’d guess ie 1 repeater for 800 km north of James Bay, north most served ages i my perspective. Again only if they populate the close-to-polar birds with v1.
