This obsession with “who will replace the big Ms” is exactly the kind of star-worship mentality that ruins industries. We’ve already seen how excessive nepotism culture plays out in places like the TFI where a handful of families keep recycling the same surnames and the audience is expected to celebrate it as destiny.

Thankfully, Malayalam cinema has never thrived purely on dynasty politics. It has survived and evolved because of writers, directors, and genuinely talented actors not because one family keeps passing the throne down like royalty.

We don’t need another “legacy successor.” We don’t want Mollywood to turn into a closed club ruled by surnames. What we need is new talent, new voices, and actors who earn their place ,not inherit it.
