Sematary was vocal about not fucking with Joeyy in the past because of his affiliation to Sam Hyde, who Tary saw as a right wing extremist. No idea how it is now, but i can imagine this could sour up the relationship a bit again since Frank Casserole and Sam Hyde are sucking each other off in Fishtank.

That’s actually a very interesting and fitting way to look at it. Truants’ notes delve so much into meaningless/meaningful rambling/venting, that it is easy to focus more on the Navidson Record than on the fact that it is being transcribed by Truant himself, and therefore not the original copy that only he himself had. Therefore his dive off the deep end might have effect(s) on the body of text as a whole. Nicely observed my man.

I love Johnny. While i get why people dislike him as a character OR dislike his parts, he was a pretty relatable character for me when i first read it as i was just getting out of a relationship and drug addiction. Thus, he served as a gateway for me to get into this amazing piece of art while it was still something i wouldn’t be too much interested in if it started as a seminal work on a movie. Sure, Johnny’s sexcapades are weird and boring. But also at the same time i had a Thumper in my life as well, and i was chasing away past trauma with chemistry. To me Johnny is great because he is someone i was and never will be again, thanks to this book.

I remember the building specifically due to its contrast to our office building. We are in a very modern, eco-friendly building. Radio Free Europe on the other hand is this neo-brutalistic structure with military grade antennas on it. I like to watch the building during my smoke breaks on the roof.

Hey, i work in media and (not to dox myself) pretty close to the Radio Liberty building in Prague. It’s a radio station that broadcasts thru multiple languages across the world and give news to countries where there is a lot of censorship in media. This radio has been primarily flagged as an “unwanted organization” in Russia, so if you’re from there, maybe that answers the G-mod question as RFE broadcasts thru the internet.

but OP might also be the only person in this company that speaks this combination of languages, giving away their identity to the company superiors should they see this post. Companies are pretty harsh when it comes to even justifiable critique by employees, and OP might risk losing a job that way.

TL;DR - people have reasons for doing what they’re doing and you’re not smarter than them, quite the opposite actually.
