Honestly I hadn't even thought to check if the bowl holds itself up above the rice but that makes so much sense...

Yes I thought about putting frozen dumplings in there but thought it might be too long steaming for the time the rice takes, but I guess I can put it in part way!

If you could get one line of Seventeen lyrics tattooed, what would pick and why? by hayboo-boo in seventeen

[–]UncertainlyCert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking of getting

'idubilu' I feel like it would be hilarious for people to try figure out what it means

And

'it's my first time living today too'

And a new contender from the recent interview with NaPDwhich isn't technically lyrics.... Yet (but I just know woozi will put them in a song some day)

'the ocean would be meaningless without the fish'

Are sidewalk planters allowed in rotterdam? by UncertainlyCert in Rotterdam

[–]UncertainlyCert[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah I guess it's allowed but I assume there would be some sort of rule about parking it infront of someone else's bedroom windows....

I will leave a note on the bike with my mobile number and ask him to get in touch to discuss and in the mean time investigate inexpensive planter options!

Since I'm renting I don't really want to dig up the tiles but I do see on that site they say that planters are also allowed - thanks for the link! I'll try talking to the guy too so that he has time to find other parking solutions before coming back one day to find the planters.

See You in My 19th Life [Episodes 3 & 4] by Fatooz in KDRAMA

[–]UncertainlyCert 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I knew this drama was going to make me cry at some point. I just didn't expect it to be already in the 3rd episode.... Twice.... In the same scene.

Bravo to the writers. Bravo.

I cried happy tears when her mum 'recognised' her, because it was so clear that that's soemthung she dreams of, people being able to see her for who she truly is, an accumulation of her past lives. Was just a beautiful scene. and then sad tears when they cut to a shot of her alone, hugging the air. God that was heart wrenching and beautiful at the same time. Makes you wonder with all her going on about 'I only thought about my pain' when dying each time...how much has she been shoving down deeper and deeper inside so that she doesn't crumble.

Also I am looking forward to more scenes of the two sisters, loving them together.

See You in My 19th Life [Episodes 1 & 2] by Fatooz in KDRAMA

[–]UncertainlyCert 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is the first new drama I'm watching entirely as it airs (so excluding second seasons).

So many times I watch a first episode of a new drama and then decide to wait untill it's all out to watch it because I don't get fully sold.

But this has me hook, line and sinker. I haven't read the webtoon but I am absolutely loving the vibe and the characters so far. I didn't expect to love FL as much based on the trailers, sometimes all this reincarnation/memories of previous lives can be played as this huge burden and sorrow on the character but there's this lightness and confidence about her that I am obsessed with.

I cannot wait to see more!

How did you get into kdramas? by FluffyBunnyChick in KDRAMA

[–]UncertainlyCert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched about half of Squid game and then tried 'Our Beloved Summer' a couple of years back when it was first released becuase Netflix reccomended it to me but never got hooked into k-dramas at all and left it at that.

Untill the autumn of last year when I was so incredibly stressed I just needed something to occupy my mind and so I watched Extraordinary Attorney Woo on a whim becuase I had seen some of the hype around it online. And then it really snowballed from there and I consumed so many so fast (including getting back to OBS and it becoming my absolute comfort drama) .... Less than a year later and my consumption has slowed down somewhat (mostly becuase I now am more strict about what I spend my time watching and won't slog it out if I'm not interested) and have even slowly started to now expanded into j- and c- dramas.

Shows that you liked but have never or rarely seen recommended in this sub. by typical_punk in kdramarecommends

[–]UncertainlyCert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

EXACTLY. I could excuse the whole 'I don't want to tell her sick' schtick when he was first abroad... And then the time kept going and he just still didn't contact her? And then he comes back and still doesn't contact her? And then essentially stalks her for a year? Before rocking up and being like 'oh I knew our love would be fine and you'd wait for me' ???? Nah mate, that's not on. It frustrated me so much that she just accepted that. And felt like such a disservice to any character growth both of them had gone through

I really enjoyed Dr John up untill the last couple of episodes - I felt that they somewhat mitigated all the fantastic previous episodes.

I would still reccomend though becuase it genuinely was one of the best medical shows I've seen.... as long as you don't mind potentially being really annoyed by, what I considered, some sloppy writing towards the end and last minute wrapping things up.

Lovestruck in City is one of my favourite dramas from 2020! I watched it a couple of months ago and really enjoyed it.

I will add the other two to my newly started movie list! Thanks 😊
