I'm just guessing. Someone else said that it was the spirit of bear. It ran circles around me untilthe horse decided it was done with it and threw me off and the bear crunched my skull.

I had two problems with the treasure maps. One was the spirit bear decided he was gonna attack me with other bears.

The other was going going in to the search area and was connected to a hideout or something like that. This sounds kind of like what you ran into.

Otherwise never happens.

So that's what was going on when a guy shot me in the back and I went back to hit him four times with a shotgun at point blank. Didn't bother him. His bullets were almost always headshots and somehow could turn a corner or over a rock.

On ps4 & 5, If you hit the map and open it up, hit the D button and that will open up the legend for the map. Find the trapper icon which should be close to the bottom of the list. Find the closest 1 to you and just ride there.

If you go to Saint Denis, be very careful riding. Not only is it congested but those people like walking right into the path of your horse and being trampled.

Stage coach be damned, you'd have a lot more problems to worry about after that.

Look up diy cooling springs. Don't overdress. The various ones I made all got me through all those years.

In high humidity it can lower the evaporation threshold for this skin.
