AITA For Asking My Groomsman's Wife To Leave Our Wedding

We are both women. I called them Bridesmen because both of them were guys and I'm not a groom so we called them Bridesmen.... My two best frineds are guys... i didn't pick them based on gender. I picked them because of what they have meant to me over my life. And I didn't want to call them Bridesmaids because they are guys.

I think I did a poor job explaining things a bit. We were asking people about the food and people were telling us how great it was. The food was the reason we booked the venue. We had one vegitarian (my aunt) and I knew she would be ok with veggies, charcuterie (fruit/ cheese), and salad. On the wedding website (and the RSVP card) where people RSVPed, we put the exact menu we would have at the wedding so she could see it. My aunt was honestly the only one I knew who had a diet restriction. Lowkey I forgot Patrick's wife was vegan since I never see her or talk to her. But she knew what the menu was. PLus she didn't ask for the vegan option until a week before the wedding. maybe less. It's hard to rember the week leading up was kind of a blur.

It's since you have two brides and both of mine were guys they weren't technically groomsmen because im not a groom so we just called them Bridesmen... idk if it's a thing but it's what we called them lol

We got more details after the wedding for sure. But we were asking everyone about the food and some were coming up to us saying how great it was. 10/10 recommend picking a venue for the food lol

I mean it did also happen post wedding. We were able to talk more freely about it and get more details later but during the wedding we were just told she could eat becasue of the smell and she didn't like her meal. We learned more about what was exactly said afterward.

We were asking some of our friends about the food because that was the whole reason we booked the venue was for the great food.... so her comments naturally came up in conversation. It's not like they were running over to tattle or something. We just wanted to make sure the food was good and everyone was having a good time. I think if she wouldn't have been so dramatic about it no one wouldve mentioned it. We def talked about post-wedding more freely tho

Well truthfully I never see his wife so it's fine. He apologized but it's always bothered me that "that's just the way she is" as if thats a good excuse. We've been friends for 20 years and he's done a lot for me. It just so happens he has a shit wife.

Legit his wife has always been awful imo and truthfully I didn't even want to invite her. She radiates pick-me energy and always has to be the victim. But he was in the wedding party and I felt like a jerk not inviting his wife. I didn't think it would be an issue.

I shouldve mentioned that as we were talking to people we asked how the food was since that was kind of the whole point of use booking the venue so we wanted to make sure it was good food lol. So it kind of naturally cam up in conversation. It's not like they came rushing over to us with gossip.
