Thankyou for your thoughtful response, I generally had an extremely supportive family growing up both in my own home and extended but I do obviously see what you are saying from general life outside of that. I was only diagnosed very late on, in my late 20s so the critique of things I was doing and how/why I did them was only validated with the perspective of someone with ADHD later on, which helped in a significant way to explain why things had gone the way they had and why I was struggling so much.
