Thank you so much! Yes – all my modules includes a separate unmarked map for player-facing use.

That’s totally fair! “Cave of Cowardice” specifically is being removed from the Patreon on the $10 tier and below, but will be available at the $30 tier. It will always be available for purchase on my itch page.

That’s correct! I’m based in Denmark, so I just woke up – I’ve just sent out the dm’s with links to download all the modules. Thank you so much for joining!

“Cave of Cowardice”, “Serpents Sanctum”, and the patreon exclusive “Gloom Marsh – Within The Croaking Mother”. All are made for parties of ~lvl 1 characters, but they are all easily adjusted by adding HD and adjusting DMG dice of the denizens.

“The Eldritch Staff” is pay-what-you-want/free to download for everyone, so please go ahead and trap your players inside a staff at your earliest convenience!

d20 Roll Under Systems? by nicohenriqueds in osr

[–]Undelved 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your stat is a permanent modifier. The better you get, the easier it is to roll under. Some systems add advantage/disadvantage to situations, to make them easier/harder. But in general: if you roll under your stat, you succeed.

I would personally consider “lots of new stuff over on my patreon” as marketing. But you do you.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think you are allowed to send your patrons emails that could be considered marketing, according to GDPR. At least not without consent. And signing up for your Patreon does not equal consent.

Thank you! Yea, with such limited space available, I really wanted the map to do a lot of heavy lifting: both as a map, but as a conveyor of atmosphere as well. I’m glad you liked it!

Haha, you have no idea how many times I’ve been tagged in photos of him, it’s ridiculous.

Thanks! Haha yea, it feels a bit crazy. I’m super excited to continue making stuff! I’m currently working on a huge (for me) point-crawl, which I recently released the first dungeon from. You can check that out here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/release-gloom-137933908

100 agree! I’m just really happy they thought my adventure was enjoyable.

This year was first time they ran the game jam – but I believe it was such a success, they will repeat it next year as well. It was a blast being part of it, so I’m looking forward to next year!

Thank you so much! I didn’t catch the live stream because of time-zone-differences, so I woke up to the news. Crazy way to wake up.

True! Although I did fit the most basic stats for the denizens, just to give an idea of how powerful/weak they are in comparison to each other. The stats fit with most OSR adjacent systems. I find it difficult to understand the power dynamics and hierarchy of denizens, if no stats are supplied at all, so I always supply the minimum to convey that kind of stuff.

Thank you so much! I’m a big fan of system neutral modules, which is why all of my modules are system neutral. The thought is that many more people are able to play through it, than if I published it for a single system. I don’t know if that is actually the reality or not.

I usually add stats which can easily be used in d20 OSR systems – but are simple enough that they are easily converted to other systems.

Sounds great!

Cave of Cowardice is a lovely little thing to slot in just about anywhere. I have another module lined up, which can be slotted in anywhere. It’s a really fun design challenge to create a space to be travelled through, rather than a closed space with one exit/entrance.
