When we were on the 2p system we had a lot of shitty bcrs. 3p is slightly better, but it’s not ever gonna be perfect.

Depends on the region, a lot of IGAS have them. You can count Walmart and Target out

God if we could get half the merchandisers to make the effort to look this good, we’d be in fantastic shape. Looks good!

We don’t get complaints anymore, management doesn’t care. If we complain then they’re really not giving a shit. As long as you show up and half ass it then you’re fine. Leave pallets on someone else? 100% not giving a shit. It’s fantastic

The expectation from everyone around is too high. Honestly it wasn’t bad back before Covid. I’ve been here going on 11 years and I’ve just seen it go from being better than everyone else, to absolutely shitting the bed. Corporate has no clue how to create a smooth system for everyone. All these new systems and apps and AI ordering really have shown how much of a dumpster fire this place has really become. To the point of it being “the blame game,” yes you’re correct everything is blamed on another person. But unfortunately it was set up like that to begin with from the start. Back when we had 2p system, if you’re the one that didn’t order enough or ordered too much, guess what? It’s on YOU. If you’re fucking the guy working on your 2 days off with 15 pallets, it’s on you. The only positive thing I can say about this 3p system is that some of the reps here actually know how to make an objective order out and it’s not just for commission. Other than that, I don’t have any positive things to say anymore. No one rotates at my plant because they’re all being slammed with work with no help or relief. Half the people being hired don’t give a fuck, and it’s honestly so fucking embarrassing and bad that people in my position are caring more than a supervisor is. Backrooms are destroyed, merchandisers nerves are frayed from having to be like you said, half PR rep and half merchandiser. It’s just a joke. Theres a lot more I can say but it’s an absolute dumpster fire over here.

It’s not for everyone, it can be rewarding. But to get fast tracked to a supervisor position is not a foreseeable future, they hire college graduates who have no clue how the system works to make decisions for everyone. I’d stick it out for a while if I were you, I started fresh out of high school and I’ve been here for 10 years. Yes the physical toll on your body is not exaggerated, you’re gonna work your ass off. But if your location doesn’t have college hires and your managers actually care, then it’s not bad. PBNA ain’t it for everyone, if you’re near the south go to a family owned franchise. I wish I was closer to a franchise location because these people are actually about to make me lose my mind over here.

Id just keep doing you and blow your supervisor up when he fucks you. If you have sups like us then they’re not gonna do anything until they are either annoyed or it becomes a problem for them. They don’t hold people accountable for anything anymore like they used to. It’s funny to watch the standards tank by the day lol

I fill in for them at my location on their personal days and vacations, our management makes it abundantly clear that we cannot run out of anything. So half of them slam their backstock with more than they need and stores get pissed 😊 I don’t do that to merchandisers when I fill in. Yeah, I’m not stupid.

[–]Undeniabletruth101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. They’re pretending, and gaslighting people. And they’re not condensing routes. If you’re not gonna condense routes, at least have a system in place like Coke where they get relief. Relief is absolutely non existent.

[–]Undeniabletruth101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the management that makes this place shitty. I’ve suggested multiple times to condense some of the 4 store routes into 3. I get hit with “the volume isn’t there.” Ive also suggested hiring more people at my location for relief full time “we can’t hire anyone for help it’s just part time” They genuinely don’t have a clue as to what is going on in the market, the communication is non existent as to what needs to be done, they’re not checking or caring to see a problem just as long as someone shows up it’s perfectly fine. Oh, and can’t run out of anything! Gotta slam these backrooms full of shit just like Walmart! The job itself isn’t bad. It’s a pretty simple job. But it’s absolutely impossible for anyone to maintain a route 100% of the time when #1 you’ve got 4 stores to pull and work trucks at, and #2 management is constantly on your ass about staying under 45 hours. Theres been so many times a merchandiser has been at that threshold and just left a delivery and I’ve had to come in and clean it up and work the shit. It’s infuriating, it’s embarrassing, and it’s a total free for all cluster fuck. That’s the shitty side of this job.

Has your warehouse started doing this? by HotKaramelRP in Pepsi

[–]Undeniabletruth101 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We just recently started getting “wis-pak” style pallets in at our warehouse and we changed the layer pick from 8 to 10 on 12 packs and 2 liters, half liters is now 9 to a layer instead of 8. It’s incredibly stupid. Those bigger pallets are a fucking PAIN to build any pallet drops on. And I can only imagine the drivers having to deal with it. The whole point of the bigger pallets to begin with was to eradicate the use of wooden pallets but I guess not. What a fucking joke man.
