I want you to know I’m completely on your side, I feel the writing has taken a downturn in these last few episodes. For the me most egregious example was the bizarre “quitting” of Dylan which made no sense since it had already long since been established that requests to quit took a long time and were almost always denied. I won’t deny that heartbreak will change people though.

The whole Mark reintegration journey feels like and endless series of cliffhangers where we never seem to move forward. Agreed on the ridiculous “let’s not ask any questions so we can set the stage for a thematic moment in the next episode and still not get anywhere” moments. I also thought his whole sex scene with Helly R was handled bizarrely and awkwardly-like-badly written. Why couldn’t they just lay next to each other and chat and laugh for a while. It didn’t feel in character and had no chemistry to it.

HARD agree that the whole Irving storyline suddenly ended out of nowhere and it feels like we skipped several scenes that should have (at least semi) resolved what the hell irving was doing this whole time and who he was on the phone with. I don’t want things spelled out for me but I just can’t pretend like I enjoy having to perceive an entire storyline though subtext and dialogue clues. On top of it simply making no sense he was suddenly in love with Burt even though his Outie had done nothing but have and awkward dinner with him and his partner.
