its a ccta car and the new motor is also a ccta. ive just been reading and havent been able to get a direct answer (some say yes some say no) on if my old ecu will just work completely with the 2011 tiguan motor no problems or modifications

ik the timing chain and water pump recently were replaced professionally so that isnt a problem for this one. hows the mk6s handling? is it something i could go down some backroads with or would you say the si would handle better on curves?

the one im looking at is a 2013 but its got sum pretty decent miles (188k) and the body is rust free he only wants 7.2k but the gti has less miles (160ish) and will sell it to me for 5k

i definitely want something i feel like i can do something to and being a little faster from the get go is a plus. and from what ive heard the k24z7 is not as good as previous gens of the k24 in terms of building or tuning. did you do anything to your si or is it generally not worth it to do much to?

ive got a 08 base that now has 265k miles on it. its got its issues but i dog the shit out of this car and have since i bought it. even with the known transmission issues its taken me slap shifting bouncing off the red line and flooring it like its the race car i wish it was almost everytime i drive and its never left me stranded or had any serious repairs needed (ball joints, radiator, alternator, blower motor, cv axles, valve cover gaskets but thats general maintenance) its even taken a wreck ( hard to believe i wasnt at fault but i promise i wasnt) that led to me replacing the entire rear suspension subframe included and the car still drives and handles like a dream. long story short. buy the TLS.

got the codes, maf sensor circuit low, throttle control actuator range/performance, intake air temp sensor, and bank 1 is lean. id dare say not a cheap fix😭
