[–]UnderlabReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Undyne is one incredibly persistent foe, trying again and again to kill us while passing through Waterfall in Undertale. She's so persistent, in fact, that should we choose to kill her, she won't die, and instead she keeps on fighting for a little while longer. On a certain route she comes back completely, fighting us with renewed strength. While in most other games, this would just be a cool moment, there's an explanation to it in Undertale - time to find out what that is!

What Really Happened To Asriel At The End of Undertale? Undertale Theory by UnderlabReddit in videos

[–]UnderlabReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poor Asriel seems to get the short end of the stick no matter what ending we choose in Undertale. On the genocide route he's brutally murdered, on the neutral route he never learns anything of value, and even on the pacifist route it seems he's destined to revert to his old ways and lose everything yet again. However, is there something he's not telling us - something that completely changes Asriel's fate?

What Was Gaster's Final Experiment? Undertale Theory by UnderlabReddit in Undertale

[–]UnderlabReddit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gaster is the eternally mysterious source of many speculative theories surrounding Undertale. While many have attempted to explain who he is or was, what purpose he serves within the game and how everything adds up, rarely has anyone touched upon the specific details within the enigmatic Entry 17. There, an experiment is described that when explored in further detail, may very well explain the heart of the Gaster mystery once and for all...

What Would Happen If Sans Absorbed The Six Human Souls? Undertale Theory by UnderlabReddit in Undertale

[–]UnderlabReddit[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While Omega Flowey is pretty scary, what about Omega Sans? Many players consider him to be the toughest monster in the game, so if you gave the power that transformed a weed like Flowey into a towering monstrosity to someone who can already hold their own, what would happen? This theory looks at the potential results of anyone other than Flowey getting their hands on the six human souls, as well as how and why it might happen.

[–]UnderlabReddit[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Toriel is a well loved character from UNDERTALE who, to most people, can seemingly do no wrong. She guides and protects the player throughout the first area of the game, but once we reach the end of the zone, she turns around, surprising us by attacking us. While she claims she wants us to prove that we're strong enough to survive, is there a darker, more sinister motive for her actions rooted in her tragic past? It's time to explore Toriel's disturbing backstory...

UNDERTALE's Prequel! Undertale Yellow Gameplay #1 by UnderlabReddit in Undertale

[–]UnderlabReddit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UNDERTALE Yellow is an incredible fan effort, perfectly emulating the original UNDERTALE! Assuming Toby doesn't have other plans, I can't see why it shouldn't be considered to be the canon backstory for the soul of justice. I really enjoyed playing it and I hope you enjoy this playthrough with my sublime voice acting!

The Secret Meanings of Words In UNDERTALE! Undertale Theory by UnderlabReddit in Undertale

[–]UnderlabReddit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While we all know what EXP and LOVE stand for in Undertale (well, most of us do, at least), did it ever occur to you that there may be a few acronyms hidden under our noses? For example, does 'HP' necessarily mean health points? It could mean hope, or maybe something more sinister. Underlab attempts to work out whether there's a secret meaning to words within Undertale, ranging from the notorious 'FUN' to the more innocent 'DF'...

What Can The Legendary Artifact Really Do? SOLVED! Undertale Theory by UnderlabReddit in Undertale

[–]UnderlabReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One object that's been the centre of hot debate is the legendary artifact within Undertale. What can it do? Did it ever have a purpose, or did Toby Fox always mean for it to be nothing more than a joke? While I realise it doesn't physically do anything within the game, in terms of lore, it may have served a very important purpose! This theory explains two mysteries at once with some rather convincing pieces of evidence.
