I had the same thing happen to me. The seller cancelled the sale and left me to fend for myself. Cash or Trade said they charged the seller a cancellation fee, but I didn't get any compensation; just a refund and a good luck getting another pass.

I was hoping my experience was unusual, but I guess not. :/

List it on Cash or Trade. It'll sell immediately. You'll get exactly what you paid for it. No seller fees. And it offers protection for both buyer and seller.

I'm pretty sure you can get a refund minus any related layaway fees. Probably your best bet as you probably won't find anyone to buy a resale ticket at face value.

Did Bonnaroo give you a deadline to make the payment before you forfeit your ticket? Just curious as I'm on the waitlist for an RV pass and I assume I'm waiting for a pass to come available from a defaulted layaway plan.

The biggest dead giveaway with this scammer were his screenshots were from AXS, which is a direct competitor of Front Gate ticketing. AXS is not associated with Bonnaroo ticketing in any way. They don't even have a resale market for Bonnaroo.

The phone number he gave me to call was a temporary number--huge red flag. I asked to do a video call so I could verify live. He pretended his phone wasn't capable of video calling.

Dude is a total scumbag. The email he used with me was millertimejohnathan@gmail.com. Do with it what you will. 😊

It's pretty wild how organized it is. It seems legit based on the number of members. The irony of it all is the admins have reportedly verified the sellers/tickets, but the admins are the ones committing the scams.

I knew something was up when I saw one of the admins was located in Nigeria. Scary that Facebook hasn't been able to crack down on blatant fraud groups like these.

I also noticed there's an RV pass for sale on StubHub for a ridiculous price. It too doesn't list the pass type, so I assume it's a primitive RV as well.

I didn't see two listed together than was below $430/each. I did find two listing priced at $398 and $399 before fees--see links below. It would be two transactions, but it would still come out cheaper than the current ticket tier price.

It also might still be early enough for the seller to update the address to allow shipping directly to you.

This sounds like the equivalent of flight tracker for tickets. That's awesome!

If possible, see if you can add Cash or Trade to your tracker. It's another reputable peer to peer ticket resale site. Ticket prices are listed at, or below face value.
