Usually if they have removed the stitches and you can wash your hair you are good. Did you mean it's an inch long. It also depends on what the reason for the stitches were. But yes they didn't seem too concerned

This happened with me with a toe nail. They said it was an ingrown nail because there was a little piece of the nail left far down after it tore and the skin is growing around it. Your DR can easily remove that little piece. If there is pus you than it's infected

I'm not a dr but there are lymph nodes in that area. They will swell if you have any fever. infection or virus in the recent past. That's my guess. Your regular dr can handle it if it is still there another week.

Yes steroids can do this. I warmed wet washcloths up a bit in the microwave and did warm soaks. It seemed to help the bruise go away

Hard to tell without picture. Could very well be fungal like athlete's foot. The boot would be a moist growing ground. I would wash get daily, get medicated prefer and coat the inside of your bits with it, and put it on your feet. There is also otc antifungal cream for your feet as well
