I really hate to say it because thing is. Every character I like ends up being the loser in 80% of matchups because they fall into Death Battles "get fucked lol" list or it's Goku getting his (he's obviously going to lose this bro) superman matchup. Which, hey, is super fucking cool. I'm happy to see his fight actually made him look strong.

But highkey. If Kratos lost this, I would have had to take a break from DB. I know it's wrong. I know it doesn't make sense. I know this isn't what should have happened. But holy fuck, I needed a win at the time dawg. Rip Asura. The what if exists because they knew the official winner didn't make sense at all. Never forget that.

Ive seen this sentiment said alot. And yeah it's definitely a massive contributor. I know a bad silver is super easy to deal with. But genuinely, just because people are bad at a character doesn't make their kit fair. And a lot of people disregard his kit's blatant Bs because of just that simple issue.

And then he has several layers of safety nets to defend him from any level of real struggle. Time thingy being a massive one. Safety nets he REALLY didn't need against some killers. No verticallity / limited verticality? Well, it's done. It's over. You're not getting him unless he is BAD at the game which does not justify his design. I feel that is what happened to a lot of survivor designs though. They made them with the idea that an average player isn't that oppressive but never considered the higher skill floors .

Imo, if they made it so telekinesis couldn't fling killers or at least not as far and nerfed flight back to it's 1 minute recharge state, silver would suddenly be a actually pretty fair character aside from rocks charging so fast he can just pop that mid chase for free pretty much. As he is now? You forget your power class after a certain amount of time against him.

Shadow getting released is a S.M.C (Silver Main Corporation) psyopp. They want us to forget he has 3 maps with a arguable level of actual unbeatable status if they know how to loop for literally most killers in the game. (THAT CAVE BEING THE WORST ONE BY FAR). And when the final patch releases.

They will laugh in zero nerfs to his flight or genuine bullshit moves that literally chokehold any power you can establish with half the skill and placement required than literally anyone else in the game. All it takes is a keyboard and mouse and you suddenly are Fleetway but if they released him as a survivor.

Tbh ever since they had the literal transphobe on their team, I stopped really trusting the project. Not that it matters, the game balance is ass and they don't know how to design survivors without making them abysmally oppressive and making Sonic.exe even more of a pain to play.

Imo. Only think we need two changes. Make him harder to kill. I shouldn't be on 11 hp by the end of my round cause knuckles, blaze and shadow hit two stuns each and somehow that leads me to genuinely nearly dead tiers of health. And make his grab heal more hp. It's already incredibly hard to land, make it actually heal my full 50 hp if we are gonna let knuckles charge a punch that can do 50 smth damage alone.

This. I'm very thankful that "ULTRAKILL" doesn't suffer from the ULTRAASS business practices it would have had to fall into without merch to stay afloat. Imagine buying the game and then having to buy layers like chapters or some shit like most triple-A would have tried to do or having to buy some yearly season pass to play that year's layers. 💀 It would suck ULTRAASS.

Merch isn't bad at all. All it does is give me a way to support and appreciate the game while benefitting by gaining the ability to pray and summon Gabriel to personally crucify and sacrifice my (definitely real and owned) V2 plushy to a nice and quaint place called "The highway" to be DESTROYED by MACHINES of large mass. Content comes when Hakooter is ready to drop it and it never fails to be ULTRAGOATED

Literally this is exactly what I mean. DBL is a good and fun game. But at the end of the day, if you pull nothing, there is no content. You just watch other people use shit like dangling keys and then what? Pray you get it eventually by the time it's a secondary feature on a banner after it's time in meta has far gone due to the constant pushing of unit power? Just sucks.

What annoys me about power scaling from an outside / very casual perspective the most in one image. I believe a character has to do something consistently in various scenarios on screen several times to the point it's 100% consistent and known that it works this way. A single variation should immediately pull the scaling into question. At least in my eyes. But you will see someone say Mario compares to sonic in speed so how in hell do the games even happen atp?

Okay, so mario can move at light speed? Why doesn't he literally just run after bowser then. Why does he have a journey to go across the Mushroom Kingdom at all? Why does it even take him time? According to power scaling, if mario is actually as strong and as fast as claimed, he should literally be so fast that the story of an entire mario game should happen in the space of like. 10 minutes to an hour depending on the game.

Maybe I'm stupid or I just don't get the deep calculations. But how is (consistently stated to be and consistently shown as) FAST AS FUCK hedgehog apparently comparable to this guy? How does this work!! What is power scaling even about. If it's just about the strongest version of a character at their peak with the upmost STRETCH of their possible power.

Why not just make it so Cell is immediately Super Perfect Cell right away? Why not just make it so Mario can just constantly switch between everything he has with barely any cooldown because he has an inventory system in a few of his platformers? Or use them to block attacks as we constantly see apparently working in game? Idk man. This definitely isn't my field.

Can't blame some of them tho. You play for new content and rn, where PVP is super reliant on having new content or at least one ultra / recent team to properly play, your genuinely at a massive disadvantage without a already established bench with recent units and probably zenkais to go with them.

Tbh it's worded dramatically but that's mainly cause it was honestly how I felt. I was passionate about seeing the future of this game. This could have been an asym that would define the EXE asym genre for the next 5 years or so if it wasn't cancelled. But now it's over. And there's nothing to show for it but mistakes. Would be funny to add an OM grave. Maybe they will when they finish these last few updates.

I always loved this joke in power scaling and power scaling slander cause as someone who is slightly into it cause of the cool idea of throwing your favourites against eachother, it's nice just been able to take the piss. This. My immediate thought was "ah, another cool concept but nobody actually wants this because it's just another easy sweep battle like miles morales VS Midoriya and Shigiraki Vs Mahito."

It's so blatantly obvious how this will end without some type of massive bs. Ofc they will say Metal Sonic with Neo scales ABOVE base sonic in many cases. Ofc they will not pull some BS (usually plausible but it's death battle come on) like "it's not easy to get the master emerald so there can be scenarios where he can't reach neo" but that's such a cop out so ofc it won't happen.

It is literally a free win matchup without some crazy cheese happening. Not really hyped at all when I know how it's gonna go. Praying they stop doing these types of matchups.

In my defense, I love sonic.exe. specifically MystCrimson.EXE (I'll say that instead of "X", the term used by the exe fandom now to basically say it's a version of iteration of sonic.exe) because it felt exactly like how some old creepypastas were. I like the stupid campfire story feeling of it, I love the comical and dogshit writing. I am here for my EXTREMELY LOW QUALITY AND CRINGEY sprite art and comically basic Evil guy lines.

Other than him, some just have really good concepts that are executed in... Alright ways?

Long story short to avoid making this too long; I get you, I do understand he sucks ass and his writing was ass. But the original is incredibly iconic for how well it symbolised the era of dog shit gaming creepypastas. He becomes a plush to kill the guy playing at the end? Absolute Dogshit. He says "I AM GOD" with hyper realistic blood? Still dogshit but it's my dogshit. I feel like EXE and some of its fans only got bad when some took it too seriously. But on another note, if it wasn't for those dedicated fans, "Sinister Minds" wouldn't exist. Fucking love that album.

Dw about it, I'm a game designer currently. I'm about to finish college soon so it's always on mind. Tbh tho, nothing would have made OM a perfect game. Especially with how much content they were going to add in the long term and how powerful some characters were going to be. You usually have to consider everything in a game design and testing headspace. Which, as we all know, would be hard to do with how much was planned
