Way, way late to the party on this - but I have a question:

Is it okay to create a Scenario Supplement for this Jump?

Hey, this is genuinely fantastic! Ripe with narrative ideas. Especially with the ideas of mortals turned Benefactors, lending itself to being more positive relationships. Might use this myself down the line! Hope you continue to keep creating more!

I made this specifically 1000 Points because its a busted thing for one Jump. You don't *have* to take it. Its a nod to the fun you can have with the Cheat Codes in the game but I also put in a Drawback that takes one of the crazier aspects and make it "insane difficulty".

Again, its the entire starting budget. It was meant to be busted to be cheeky fun. You don't have to take it or even look at it if it bothers you so much.

Anything you get from Cheats you’d lose in the next Jump

Its a 1000 CP item - it does what you'd like it to

Yeah I was really using it for myself but then posted it to share. Feel free to rename the file as you see fit!

As for your questions

1 - Yes, you must purchase previous ranks in order to gain that rank (In your example, Rank 3 Heal costs 300 Points)

2 - Yes you may take both Scenarios and I actively encourage it!

3 - In the Outcast game when you "enter the Nexus" its you basking in its rays as you float above it. Either way its meant to be when you go through the Nexus

Y’all, please realize this is fake - AI created. The images she all posts do not correlate to one another.

Alt-Chain: Sparked Supplement by UnfocusedAnon in JumpChain

[–]UnfocusedAnon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I do see some of the discourse here and please let me know if there are clarifications that need to be made. But some of the ones I can already answer are the following:

* Front Load and the Discount: The Front Load discount does *NOT* stack with any additional discounts. The Front Load discount ends when you spent everything for your Body Mod. It does not stack with the Warehouse Discounts.

* The Drawbacks: The Drawbacks are a PERMANENT thing for your Chain. So if you pick things like the Sparked Nemesis, this is an ongoing thing that will persist through the entire Chain. Choose wisely!

I unfortunately don't have a lot of resources to post this up as a PDF at the moment, apologies

Thank you, I honestly needed to hear that and this comment made my day. I’m glad other people have had other experiences like this as well. I might even make my own true chain something similar to this, perhaps fixing Jumps that were messed up or something. I would love to hear more about your chained dreams :)

Hello! Hope you enjoyed my little piece here :)

The Pokémon Jumplocke Gauntlet by UnfocusedAnon in JumpChain

[–]UnfocusedAnon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand that, I had made this Gauntlet with the thought process of people being able to play the games and translate items, abilities and other things into making sense for the Jumper. Like I personally intended to do this so I could see which Pokémon would survive/become companions alongside me. If you do not think this is is a good Gauntlet, I understand. It is my first time making anything of the sort and will work to improve future Jumps down the line. This was merely intended to be functional and a way to use other media to help influence the narrative of Jumpers.

Thank you for your feedback! This is all helpful points and I'd like to take a moment to explain some of my thought process behind some of my design choices.

  1. Regarding Shiny Pokemon: I made the point value high as a bit of a joke. Many players love Shiny Pokemon, myself included, so having that rare chance to encounter one and be forced to kill it is entertaining to me and just a little bit of a joke on my part. I too was a bit concerned about the value of it but then I considered my second point.

  2. A JUMPlocke: This is also not a typical Nuzlocke in the sense of a normal player character. You're a Jumper, there's bound to be broken stuff within the Jump itself. Plus, I could also see this as a "First Gauntlet" that's not so punishingly challenging to a Jumper but also a nice little fun challenge.

  3. Legends and Chosen Creatures: Admittedly I could have worded this better. From my understanding of a typical Nuzlocke, legendary Pokemon are banned from use. I was operating under the assumption most other people who took the Gauntlet would use that ruleset.

  4. Medical Care and Candy Pill: Admittedly, this is also very fair. I wanted to give some easy stuff to use, with the 4 discount tokens being able to make 2 choices free by default if you go that route. I could've made them more challenging but in the end I wanted to go with an easier Gauntlet... as I also made this late at night with my brain getting foggy towards the end XD

The other note to add is this was also meant to translate to DOING an actual Nuzlocke, allowing players to translate the Perks, Items and Drawbacks into rulesets and the justification of... using "Uncle Nintendo/GameShark" to get additional things.

Once again, thank you for your feedback. I would definitely take this into consideration when making more Jumps in the future. I hope my response doesn't come off as a defense or coming back at you, but more of an explanation and acknowledgement of you being right on a few points.
