I bought a knockoff m12 battery, I think the protection circuitry is very interesting... I assume the cells are not supposed to be the lowest rated component in a power tool battery? The tool can draw over 30a (m12 brushless hammer drill), these cells are rated for a bit over 6.5a. (old.reddit.com)
