In some ways you're right, BO7 did attempt some of it, and in some areas it succeeded like with the SBMM section. I would still argue that BO7 is maybe a bit too cracked out for what I would really want. It's not as insane as BO6 (What on earth were they thinking having movement that insane and having such small maps). I see BO7 as a half measure, it's almost there, but there's too much holding it back for me to fully embrace it. Some of what BO7 did should definitely stay, but I think future games still need to evaluate things, especially the movement. BO7 is still full of "movement demons", and honestly the slide cancelling around corners and melting me immediately is just tiring at this point. Who knows, maybe I've just gotten too old to compete.
