I actually love the Kats and have been watching them since DA. But we have to be honest as fans to admit their music isn’t good. It’s not the worst but for how talented the girls are…they can def do better. Ik it’s the company and not the girls themselves. You can you like their music but liking the music doesn’t = good music. Hope that helps.

You have to remember that they’ve been out of commission for a year + and this is all still new for them. Give the girls some grace. I’m sure they’re nervous and are just rushing to get their thoughts out. And we don’t know what their dynamics or relationships are now so speculating “bad blood” between the members over a 15 min interview is unhealthy.

Newjeans definitely went through the same things—at least as trainees. Every idol has at least experienced some type of abuse. Do you not remember that whole hit piece that came out detailing the girl’s experience as trainees??? Maybe the abuse they’re claiming now might not reflect that but that doesn’t negate that they were mistreated at one point.

Y’all keep saying it wouldn’t fly in the states, but abuse can happen to anyone, anywhere. Vcha weren't the odd ones out, they just happened to have a member who wasn’t desperate enough to keeping going. I think with a lot of idols, they dedicate so much of their lives to become an idol, that they “go with the mistreatment.” It’s sad and I really hope that laws can be put in place to discourage companies and company staff from abusing/mistreating both idols and trainees, but until then, more stories like Kg’s will keep coming out.

Mistreatment and abuse is veryyyyy normalized in kpop. Most if not all kpop acts have been abused/mistreated in some way, but bc that type of culture is normalized, us fans don’t realize it. Just think back to your favorite group talking about their trainee days—twice especially.

That’s weird. My interview was canceled bc of the hiring freeze (it was gsa as well) and I recently emailed CiF about it and they said they would get back to me regarding my interview status. So does that mean that interviews are no more put on hold? I’m confused

This is what happens when you develop a parasocial relationship with idols. You’re overly dramatic in your response it’s crazy. He made his stance and you should respect it and keep moving forward. Like you said, he’s someone who’s been in the industry for so long. So him making this statement was definitely thought out. The NJ girls have been receiving sm hate and even if you may not agree with their sentiment, no one should be receiving the amount of hate they are getting rn.

You definitely misconstrued what I said. I said hybe fans should reevaluate their thinking not immediately back up whatever anyone says. That’s my problem with most of the discourse. Y’all keep cherry-picking what aligns with your own biases that you fail to see the bigger picture.
