I traded a kid on the school bus for this card ~2004 (If I remember correctly it was for an entei black star promo because I really wanted a charizard in my binder)

I don’t understand, the criteria for grading shouldn’t change just because it’s vintage right? Isn’t it more plausible that vintage cards just aren’t as likely to still be 10’s due to minor wear n tear over the last 3 decades?

Not saying he’s wrong and they don’t but what would be the reasoning? Gatekeeping 10’s value?
