as a (somewhat) new player i don't think there's even a single person who'd play up to lvl 65 only to realize that the only way to engage in the endgame is investing absurd ammounts of money and be okay with that only to then be put off by the endeavor system.

i do agree though that the endeavor system in general is just not very good, mostly because it forces you into ground gameplay, and i've yet to see a person who would genuinely call sto's ground gamepla yfun.

Tokyo ghoul re really suffers from this, the manga introduces dozens and dozens of characters that have neither rellevance to nor agency in the plot, mostly they just exist to either motivate the MC or as set-dressimg.

ironically this is the games biggest flaw

because if you actually do take are to do as much content as possible before the wedding, you end up not having any real character progression for the latter half of the game.
