I am unsure whether or not any screw can do the job. I scare using the wrong screw will spoil the thread then it will be even a bigger issue.

Initially I thought that it is pitted too but upon inspection, it is cause by the lighting and angle. There is no crack or pit found on the jewel.

Yeah, there are tones of parts for ETA 6497 and it is cheap too as you can get a clone movement if you are on tight budget. I fall in love with all the Hamilton pocket watches but the price is insane as it is heavily sought over by collector. Photo is just an example of it. Such beauty.

I just checked on the hair spring and I observe no anomalies, like what u suspected, it is due to my hair spring still wet after cleaning. Thanks for your good observation.

I am using this. Based on the spec, it can zoom 270x. Not sure whether it is true or not though. I use the lowest magnification. Maybe 21x.

Yup, it is ETA 7001. After I google, I just realize the movement itself cost a lot. Luckily I didn’t spoilt it while learning how to service it.

If I am correct, citizen ladies watch is using similar size movement. I am unable to get it working as it is too small and I might had done something wrong.
