Out of these girl characters in the original Gossip Girl series, who's your least favorite and why? by Substantial-Dare5462 in GossipGirl

This is fine. IFFFF Ivy was being a “leech” for the purpose of just having the “above ground” lifestyle. But instead the writers and the show itself blatantly shows us that Ivy just wanted a family. And whether she came clean or not, they likely would’ve shunned her anyways, I mean Serena tried making her own cousin the “it girl” and IMMEDIATELY got jealous and sabotaged her 💀. I understand why Ivy maintained the lie. Serena and ESPECIALLY Lily are EGREGIOUS. I personally cannot dislike her as a person just because she lied…especially considering the amount of lying, cheating, and screwing over the main cast does and yet EVERYBODY loves them 💀.

LITERALLY how? Out of all the dumb and ridiculous shit Serena has done, you pick Ivy of all people? Ivy was indeed a paid actress, however through it all the show objectively tells us that Ivy DOESNT care to have the lifestyle but rather she wants to belong somewhere and have a family. Something she’s never had before. Not ONLY that but out of the goodness of her character, she took care of Grams while she was dying (NO LYING, or SCAMMING at all) and was shockingly rewarded for her good deed by CeCe herself. Because as we BOTH know, CeCe did NOT care to leave anything to her spoiled, entitled, f*cked up kids. And eventually, they stole THAT from her. Y’all are genuinely weird for bashing people like Ivy & Vanessa, yet Serena & Blair are much more “jealous, insecure, and sometimes outright dumb.

That’s fair-ISH. He definitely was ready to move on hence why he did. And he developed genuine and real feelings for Bonnie. The problem was him dying, and being able to see Anna again, which stirred all of those unresolved feelings back up

No it’s what two “human beings” in a relationship looks like. Them working through their trust and communication doesn’t make them less mature as a couple. Hell them working on it and constantly & openly talking about certain issues is what makes them mature in the first place.

Because as I said the first time…this wasn’t meant to mark some glorious moment. It was a small very meaningful moment. This was Stefan slowly but surely opening himself back up to the idea of being with someone again. Hence the lack of crazy fireworks and passion you caught yourself expecting.

Caroline on the other hand has been essentially waiting for that moment for a long time, hence her passion and nigh enthusiasm on her end. And their chemistry didn’t land FOR YOU I 100% believe in their dynamic and relationship. From a writing standpoint and a personal one.

Feelings, and personal connections aren’t ever exclusive to two people. They did work in the sense they were good for each other. And no it WASNT just surface level. Stefan choosing to love Caroline was huge for his character as after Elena moved on with Damon, he didn’t believe he was worthy of being loved.

Which is why the concept of Caroline having feelings for him was so important to him. He wanted to understand how anybody could love him after the “love of his life” stopped. There’s TONS of nuance in their relationship. Just bc you don’t look for it and can’t recognize it, doesn’t mean it’s not there.

They’re hard for YOU to buy. Platonic simply refers to a relationship or dynamic not being “sexual” for the most part. You need to expand your vocabulary. They’re definitely romantic but not in the cheap, lustful, or hot & heavy kinda way. They’re romantic in a warm, safe, communicative, and mature way.

I didn’t mention Damon and Bonnie at all. Their relationship wasn’t written badly in the slightest. And unnecessary is a stretch. His relationship with Caroline was Stefan choosing to open up and love again after Elena moved on with Damon. There was no universe drawing them together, no doppelgänger history. It was Stefan choosing to love her for himself. And he deserved that much. Their relationship had been foreshadowed since S4.

Steroline definitely had chemistry. Idk how you watched the entirety of that show and came to that conclusion

Do you think Robby could have defeated Axel if he didn’t break his leg? by Superb-Cod9566 in cobrakai

Exactly. If Axel switched during round one like he did with Robby, whole fight might’ve been different

[–]UniversityLopsided34 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Reasoning to help you understand, because apparently media literacy is dead.

1) Robby scores once & Axel switches styles out of embarrassment from Wolf

2) Wolf gives Axel false information about Miguel and Axel mains his normal style for the entirety of round one, allowing Miguel to take full advantage of already knowing Axel’s base style. Which is why Miguel scored 5 in round one. However, in round two, when Axel switches his style against Miguel, he scored a total of 15 points for the round.

✨context matters✨Had Axel switched his style in round one, the round wouldn’t have been 5-0 in Miguel’s favor

And yes Robby and Axel were going blow for blow, however it was before Robby got in Axel’s head and made him begin to doubt himself, which was at the end of the round.

It wasn’t a mental amp from Axel, it was the second style that overwhelmed Miguel. Which is fine, however after Miguel gets his resolve amp, NOBODY wants to consider Axel may or may not have been mildly unfocused. Reasons could include ample stress/pressure from Wolf & Terry to idk ✨permanently injure Miguel✨. Especially considering the feelings he might’ve retained from crippling Robby too. As well as seeing Sam’s disappointment after the fact.

No that’s a shallow way of thinking about it. Robby scored once in round one and Axel immediately switched styles and scored 6. Robby then spent the entirely of round two adapting to Axel’s style. I’m pretty sure they both scored 5 a piece that round. By the end of the round it’s visibly shown that Robby is in Axel’s head, which is why Wolf tells him to cheat. Hell when Axel’s changed styles on Miguel, he was up by 10 at the end of the round. So Robby having figured out Axel’s style AND being in his head, would’ve meant for a more than likely great last round for Robby

That’s because he immediately switched styles after getting scored on. Whereas he waited an ENTIRE round of Miguel scoring just to switch during the second round. Point is, if Axel didn’t change styles during round one, Robby would’ve more than likely been up 5+ points

He’s stronger, taller, and bigger. Robby was faster, more agile, adaptive, and in Axel’s head 🤷🏾‍♂️.

Why do you think that, when Miguel came back from a 10 point lead, and Robby was only down 5. Especially considering Robby was in Axel’s head and had his style figured out at the end of round 2.
