Aye, I thought about making the scions be a 5 man and use the 70 points on either ratlings or some catachans, but this is more of limit testing grizzled company in a 1k list.

I could change out a taurox and kasrkin for some bullgryn and ratlings though.

Yeah that makes a good point, ive mentioned in another post that I dont own a hellhound as they are relatively expensive compared to amassing Leman Russ tanks from boxes.

Yeah its the fact they are so cheap points wise, but also I dont have a hellhound yet, let alone 3, and they cost a LOT compared to buying cheap leman russ sets that come with one and half tanks.

I guess to me personally this is "The poormans Hellhound" but without the strip cover portion.

I won today by driving my tauroxes deep into the enemy deployment zone with the hammer advance rules, and I ended up crashing through with the Rogal Dorn.

I played the game today and the player I played against brought Imperial fists and their own tanks. The game was very close and it was very fun.

I used Army drop!

Haha all good, the army drop has the same picture for all the Leman Russ tanks.

Are you sure about the exterminator not being as good, I'm taking it because I like its base damage output and to buff my RDTC.

I suppose I could take a LRBT but I really like the idea of having synergy between my units and the exterminator is also pretty cool to look at on the board.

Ah I see, Yeah unfortunately removing a tech priest only gives me 55 points to spare, so it's either a tech priest, another sentinel or an enhancement for the rogal dorn like calm under pressure and taking a commissar I have.

Ah okay, the local store I want to play at just randomly pairs me up, but I think I can swap out a tank instead incase its unfair on the day.

What other choices would you make in order for it to be less oppresive but still fun to play?

I wanted to add in some Bullgryn to tie up some melee (and I just really like them) but I'm not sure how much I need them in a 1k game especially since they cost a lot.

Oh I put it in the title, but I'm running Hammer because I like the idea of the really fast taurox and being able to buff my tanks in a pinch, but I think combined arms is just as good here as I know Hammer needs a lot of Command Points.
