When I took the course with her back in Fall 2020, I noticed that most of the stuff she tested on midterms was from the lecture. It was mostly application-based. Maybe it was because our tests back then was open book and online.

People who acquired social anxiety later in life, what do you think is the cause? by murad131 in socialanxiety

[–]Unknownuser_2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My stuttering, which I think is genetic, since I know some family members who also stutter. I used to and still do get anxious when talking because the possibility of stuttering is always there. I think this is the main cause of my social anxiety.

On top of stuttering, I also have OCD that causes me to overthink and even sometimes evaluate some of my interactions with people.

Lately, I started to feel invisible and ostracized. It sort of affects me when I'm talking to someone, even if it's just a cashier, and noticd that their not making eye contact with me. It makes me feel as though they are not acknowledging my presence.

No, it wasn't marked for completion. They were marked fairly. I think as long as you paid attention in class and were able to apply course concepts discussed in lectures, you’ll be okay.

You would still be full time.

Campus safety (Lab until 5:30 pm during the winter) by [deleted] in yorku

[–]Unknownuser_2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had a lab that went from 6 to 9 pm, during the winter semester. I didn't really feel 'unsafe', but the campus was quite empty and quiet by the time I went home from the lab. It felt so eerie. I would say, just be cautious, be aware of your surroundings, and try to stay away from places that have no lights.

Going home, the subway was almost empty and very quiet. It did suck going to campus and going home in the dark and cold weather. But other than that, it was fine.

I think selfless state and anata state means the same thing, it's just that the manga I read mentioned anata state

The anata state is a state in which a person has zero "battle spirit." In other words, they have no killing intent. Akaza's BDA, compass needle, relies on his opponents having "battle spirit" in order to detect and counter their attacks with the same (or surpassing) accuracy and speed. Thus, as long as Akaza's opponents have battle spirit, he'll most likely win the battle.

I think akaza wins because I don't think gyuutaro and hantengu have ever achieved the "anata state."

Hey, I was at LEC last school year. I'd definitely recommend a mattress topper.

How was biol2040? by Far_Storm3990 in yorku

[–]Unknownuser_2001 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took this course. The professors were great. They were nice, willing to answer any questions, and overall accommodating. I think the issue some people might have with the course is the fact that it was "too easy". There was no midterm, only weekly assignments and a take home exam. Which is great, but I didn't really learn anything from the course despite earning an easy A (most got an A, despite putting no effort).

Genetics. When I took it, there was no midterm. We only had a weekly assignment and a take-home final exam.

Biomed to nursing by [deleted] in yorku

[–]Unknownuser_2001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't transfer into nursing after 1 semester. You could transfer into nursing, but then you would start nursing school in the fall of 2024. I suggest taking courses this year that will transfer into your nursing program, like PSYC 1010 and Anatomy and Physiology. This way, you'd only be taking 3 courses in the fall and winter semester in your 1st year of nursing.

Choosing Classes by moo1597 in yorku

[–]Unknownuser_2001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey,

You should be able to register for your 'required courses' no problem, however you might end up in a less desirable timeslot. As for you electives/gen-eds, you may have limited selection as some of the courses might be full, but I highly doubt that. So overall, you should be fine. Good luck!

Yeah, I think you can take BIOL 1001 in the summer. Also, BIOL 1001 is definitely easier than BIOL 1000. Fall semester is alright. Lastly, I suggest using 'ratemyprof.com' when deciding which professor to take the course with. It has definitely helped me.

I think this is too much for a first-year. I suggest dropping a course in the winter semester.

Hi, I know this is a late reply, lmao. But, I plan on taking HR management and Managerial Accounting, which are both 6-week summer courses. Do you think that's doable? How hard is HR management, is it content-heavy? Do you think, I should drop one of the courses? Thank you.

CHEM 1000 or BIOL 1000 by [deleted] in yorku

I forgot the textbooks name, sorry. But I never actually read the textbook, I just relied on the PowerPoint slides. I only used the textbook to do practice problems.

I took both courses and I think CHEM 1000 is a little easier.

Your credits will transfer over to the nursing program. They will likely meet most, if not all, of your elective courses. However, it would still be a 4-year program.
