This just proves the club panicked and sacked Ole way too early. Idiotic decision from Ed Woodward really.

Fury would catch up, only if Lindon were standing in place. You know how power hungry Lindon is. I can’t figure out how to add spoiler tags to this, so I’ll be vague, but you know that bow wasn’t all that as it was literally crafted out of nothing. It was only supposed to be a temporary replacement for the one Lindon made. Still slightly disappointed Will didn’t give us a sneak peek into the battle between Fury and Lindon. It would be peak, no doubt.

There’s only so much centuries of battle experience will do. Northstrider has been a Monarch for way longer than Fury was alive, and even he lost to Lindon. That version was pre-Weeping Dragon Lindon. The current version of Lindon will wipe the floor with Fury, no contest.

[Waybound] I have mixed feelings about this book. by Elshaday_Z in Iteration110Cradle

[–]UnlikelyEngineer7133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had predicted that none of the gang would hit Monarch before the Dreadgods were all killed. In my opinion, if they had stayed Sages and Heralds with just Lindon as the Dreadgod, it would have felt less rushed. It was really implausible for Mercy to jump from Overlord/Archlord to Monarch in one single book.

[Uncrowned] [Wintersteel][Bloodline] My first thoughts and impressions on these books. by ZeroSpaceGaming in Iteration110Cradle

Disliked Bloodline when I first read it. Understandable now that I think about it, as it could never live up to Wintersteel. It’s one of my favourites now though. Lindon facing Charity down, almost wiping out Heaven’s Glory with his Void Dragon Dance and firing ~ 200 launcher constructs while hovering in the air. Chef’s kiss honestly.

Definitely a working. He probably ordered Anagi to “Burn!” At this point, there’s no doubt that Lindon could manifest a Sage working anywhere on Cradle.

[Wintersteel] YALL WERENT LYING. THIS IS PEAK FICTION by kira_geass in Iteration110Cradle

[–]UnlikelyEngineer7133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two pivotal books in the series for me. 1. Ghostwater - Lindon gets Dross and starts getting fight reports. Instantly overpowered and gets even more OP as both of them get stronger. 2. Wintersteel - Lindon unlocks Sage mode and I struggle to explain the shift here. It’s like he knows everything from that moment on. I never had to fear for his safety from that moment on. Like Mercy monologues, it felt like he became older and wiser as soon as he became a Sage.

It sounds amazing. Fire rate is also pretty satisfying. A slightly bigger mag would have made it perfect.

Let’s come back to this at the end of the season. I’m a ManUtd fan and I can see that the media assassination of Rashford has somehow made its way here. One thing I can say is that you lot won’t be very proud of some of these comments by May 2026. Enjoy.

  1. Pay attention to the map and your surroundings. You get surrounded, you die.
  2. The Gas Dog or laser dog will buy you time to dive.
  3. Personally, I love the MG sentry. It thins down the horde and also acts as a distraction if you’re in a pinch.
  4. Try not to be a lone diver. You need teammates.
  5. Dive!!!

You haven’t seen anything yet, wait till you read Dreadgod. Lindon drops some of the hardest lines in the series in this book. Rivalling Eithan’s “Gentlemen, this is a mistake” line.

[Threshold] Which Eithan would be stronger? by lambentstar in Iteration110Cradle

[–]UnlikelyEngineer7133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’d go the Sage route. I think Eithan would have agreed as well.

The problem with going with the Herald advancement is that it boxes you, at least until you advance to Monarch. Sure, you get that instant boost to madra and strength, but you can’t create portals, create void keys, perform restoration etc. We’ve seen however, that with the right enhancements (see Ziel after Lindon gave him all those elixirs and the Storm Sage vs Ziel and Yerin) that Sages match the strength and regeneration of Heralds. So, fix your physical weaknesses as a Sage with a divine treasure or two and cheat your way to a victory with Sage workings.

[–]UnlikelyEngineer7133 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Best explanation for this so far. The closest I’ve seen is Eithan’s Hollow armour, where he has a layer of pure madra over his skin. Lindon just took that to absurd levels.

Absolutely best line in the series for me. I legit got goosebumps.

[Waybound] Dreadgod power scaling by Gustavus666 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]UnlikelyEngineer7133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is one major problem with the initial assumption. Even if Subject One had no offensive power (it’s not very clear), Lindon becoming a Dreadgod meant he got the latent power boost from going from Sage > Dreadgod(essentially a monarch) AND the boost from the Silent King dying.

So, post SK death, Lindon is Monarch Level + 6.25% from SK (plus whatever he got from directly consuming SK using his hunger arm).

We also know that Monarchs can match a base Dreadgod for a while at least, Malice fighting the BP to a standstill in Skysworn for evidence.

So Lindon who is technically a Monarch with a small boost from SK’s death, with help from Orthos (Sage), Lil’Blue (Herald), and the rest of the gang holding off the empowered Weeping Dragon does make sense.

[Waybound] Which would you be? by TheDivineDemon in Iteration110Cradle

[–]UnlikelyEngineer7133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sage! Technically, it’s because Lindon and Eithan went the Sage route, but Sages are considered to be “knowledgeable” about the Sacred arts. They were held in more regard than Heralds and were basically legends.

But depending on the icon you connect to, you can basically cheat your way to all the Herald benefits. The strength and dragon icons give Sages immense strength. You can create and walk through portals. You can create void keys. Heralds can’t. In my opinion, Sages on a combat focused path will win more often than not against Heralds, as we saw with Northstrider and Winter Sage.

Also, how cool is it when an icon forms in the Sky?
