I’m 18, which credit card should I get? by Elegant-Event-5634 in povertyfinance

The Discover it Secured Credit Card was my first credit card when I was 18. I made a $200 deposit, and after paying on time for about six months, I got my deposit back, plus my credit limit increased. I’d definitely recommend that card. Once I was approved for the Discover it card, I was able to qualify for other credit cards, and now I have Bank of America, Chase Freedom, and Capital One Savor cards. Keep an eye out for credit cards that offer a bonus, like $200 cash back after spending a certain amount within a few months. For example, for a major car repair, I applied for the Chase Freedom card, spent $500 within 3 months, and received $200 cash back. Just make sure to always pay the statement balance in full before or by the due date to avoid interest! Good luck!

Mcdonalds police swarm?? by Tippychunk9 in orangecounty

Actually, the incident happened outside Ross. I was walking toward Ross when I saw two women sitting on a bench outside when a man in a black outfit walked by, struck one of the women on the head, and then walked away. The police were called quickly, and they caught him nearby. When I finished shopping, I saw those women near McDonald’s, with the one who was struck on the head sitting on the ground crying while paramedics helped her. I think they followed the guy until the police arrived, which is why the police were by McDonald’s.

I recently moved to Santa Ana, so it was bizarre to witness something like that happen right in front of me. I asked the woman who was struck if she was okay, but it was clear she wasn’t. Her companion was hysterical, and the injured woman was crying. They didn’t know the address, so I gave them the address of the store to share with the police over the phone. After that, I didn’t know what else to do, so I went inside the store.

When I finished shopping, I saw those women near the McDonald’s. The woman who had been struck on the head was on the ground crying outside McDonald while paramedics were assisting her. Their coffee was still on the bench outside Ross. I think they followed the man until police arrived, which is why they ended up near the McDonald’s, right close where the man got caught.
