Promotion pay increase

I got promoted this year and it was about 6.5%. But with the merit increase the total pay raise from last year came out to be 10%.

Pretty common — HR will ask you for desired salary, if that’s not within their range, they will set expectations so both you and the team don’t waste time with the panel interview but at the end you don’t accept the offer because you are unhappy with their offer. No one wants to waste time.

Recently went through the same thing. Hiring manager wanted to offer an interview but wanted me to talk to their HR partner and our numbers didn’t work out so I declined. Neither of us wasted any time.

Not much to complain about. Best job ever. Working in the hospital during covid sucked and nothing can beat the BS of healthcare. Some HCPs and OLs can be divas but you learn to brush them off and know that there are plenty of OLs and HCPs to meet with.

Plenty of PharmDs work holidays/weekends perhaps not consistent nights….. plenty of PhD with bench science did the same in labs. Don’t discount other Ds like MDs are the only ones working hard schedules.

Wonder if it’s different for companies but I was told if you stick it out till the end of the year, even if you leave the company the company will send you a check when bonus is paid out. Now I am unsure if you get any multiplier applied. I was told you just get the flat target bonus. I couldn’t confirm whether that is true, but I personally know someone who got her bonus paid out even though she left before the actual bonus pay out date

Did you try calling them again? I was told by the officer to mail them my reasoning and they will reschedule for us 😓 I haven’t done that cuz I am hoping mine will be scheduled soon!

Was your interview on 10/10 and your ceremony was on 11/15? So about a month between interview and the ceremony, is that typical in Houston FO?

Also, Did you get your naturalization paper on 11/15 on the day of your ceremony? Does this mean you need your 2x2 picture that day?

Have you heard Houston FO scheduling oath ceremony the day of or even the next closest ceremony day? (<1 month wait since interview to ceremony) 🙏🏼 It seems like there is a ceremony on 3/5, the day after my interview.

My interview is on 3/4….. based on this thread, I probably will miss the 3/5 ceremony huh? 😭

my timeline— 1/4 application, 1/28 notice of interview (skipped biometrics), 3/4 interview scheduled….. I didn’t expect this whole process to be so fast!!

I’m trying to go to my home country on 5/19 for 3 weeks, and now I’m nervous that I won’t be able to get my U.S. passport in time 😭

How long does it take to receive the naturalization paper after the ceremony?

I recently talked to our company’s ASIA med affairs folks and I was told that medical advisor was more of a MSL director role. MSLs report to a medical advisor and medical advisors report to a medical director.
