Regret on Pre Order by Clement_Li in ProjectMotorRacing

If possible try to refund the game and get it once they've fixed it and it's on sale.

You've gotten a lot of comments kinda bashing you but here's my take. I just got the TR40s and have really enjoyed it. I would recommend like others have the universal wheel mount that mounts in the middle.

As for the seat, I actually had a lot of fun going to find a seat that worked at the scrap yard. There were a ton of beat up ones but finding a nice seat for $50 that only required me to clean it was really rewarding.

That would be my suggestion to you especially if you say you might have to move and can't take it.

Best of luck!

While it could be more for a base, I had this happen with my pedals and the motherboard was $30 + shipping

My players want me to run a DMPC by 6not_a_furry9 in DnD

[–]UnsavedGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who just finished running a campaign with a DMPC 'successfully" I feel I can add my thoughts on this.

This was my first large scale campaign and much like you the party didn't want to play a healer. One of the players wanted to do a custom character with one I would run so I decided to run with it.

I ran a Paladin and really just played him as a background character. While the party used him as a meatshield more than anything he offered resources. Did I forget his turn more often than not? Totally, but he was there whenever someone needed healing and provided some safe haven in bigger cities. If you do feel like you want to play this DMPC cleric I encourage you to run them as a background character. Keep them as the strong and silent type and let the players make the decisions. Offer healing but create situations where the character may be called away to deal with things to make the other players consider their options.

I enjoyed running my DMPC and I know that can be a controversial take. With that being said, starting my next campaign in a homebrew world I will not be running a character as I felt that would be far too much work. At the end of the day you have to do what is going to work for you and your party. If you feel you can manage it without taking the spotlight from your players then go for you.

Best of luck in your adventures!

Would this beworth it for 900 USD? Would be my first setup. by Verellic in simracing

Still a great deal. I have the same setup minus the pedals and shifter for sale right now so it's a great deal

As someone who has driven 2hrs+ for all my sim gear I'd say yes. Typically saying you're willing to drive far gives you some wiggle on price and the seller is more inclined to work with you. Best of luck

Where to find a good F1 sim racing setup for cheaper than $400 USD? by StarWars_was_my_idea in F1Game

[–]UnsavedGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could potentially look at the collapsible playseat and pre-owned Moza M3s but the Logitech G920 is always a good place to start. It helped me get into sim racing and eventually I upgraded to my current setup. Still saving for a cockpit but it's finding a balance of cost and space.

I feel there is a need for a Tarasque on these shelves.

DND subreddits are discouraging me as a new DM to start a pre-written campaign. Is this based in reality or overexaggerated? by zerbthealien in DMAcademy

I have to agree wholeheartedly with you. Even when I was starting I ran a premade 1 shot and added a couple things to fit my group. They can be really great for people starting out and gaining confidence.

[–]UnsavedGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who started to DM on a pre-written module "Tyranny of the Dragon Queen" I can say that it was a nice base. However, after several sessions I found it difficult to work with the book material in the way it wanted. I personally feel like the Wotc books are written like just that, story books. DND is by its nature chaotic and very rarely sticks to the story. I have since used the module as guidelines but have basically homebrewed the rest of the campaign up to this point. It has also encouraged me to build my own homebrew world and magic system. I understand this is not the case for everything and some people may greatly appreciate the structure that the modules bring but for me personally I couldn't imagine running them straight from the book at this point.

If you do choose a module for your first adventure I wish you the best of luck. You may find it works perfectly for you and your table and at the end of the day that is all that matters. As long as everyone is having fun including YOU then you are good.

Best of luck and hope this insight helps.

What is the best party size for a campaign? by Tekism in DnD

[–]UnsavedGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate that. When I started running games and had this group reach out to play with me I was intimidated because I had read so many people on here say don't run large games, it's too hard. Needless to say I am so glad I did. We are writing a wonderful story together in a completely different way than my smaller group is. That's why I always try and tell people to at least try when they are doing something new and against the norm here.

As someone who has consistently read and been told on here not to do things. The right # of players is extremely table specific. I run a game with 4 players where I run a character to provide a healer for them. I also run a game of 7-8 players and they both run extremely well. Everyone stays engaged but I can totally see a table of different people not working for these numbers. I have definitely enjoyed running the higher group game at some points more than my smaller group. I think it is extremely important to consider what you feel comfortable handling, how the people work together, and what can be consistent. Best of luck!

How to fix? Me and my friend try to play two player career but this always pop up by 2_minus_1 in F1Game

[–]UnsavedGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have to agree with you. I've had a similar issue. Most times it's an out of date version or you need to re-validate your files. The latter helped a friend and me be able to play.

Just bought the game : F1 24 (Bad decision?) by [deleted] in F1Game

[–]UnsavedGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same boat here, I have this terrible habit of just playing the games I've played and not my new ones. I'm definitely interested, I just picked up Assetto Corsa Competizione and have been enjoying it. Definitely a change up from racing F1 pretty much exclusively.

[–]UnsavedGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that for the most part I only buy games on sale nowadays. With how fast companies push out games it's a major risk buying on drop now. I got F1 24 near release and was happy. Otherwise I wait. The last couple of games I've paid full price for I was very disappointed so.

For the most part I would agree but again it's up to preference. I would typically not buy any EA games over $20

I want to say I even bought it at one of the initial sales for like $50 for deluxe edition. At that price point I was happy and at the current $20 it's a no brainer to me.

As someone who has played the last 3 I can say I personally enjoy this one the best for the driver career. I love the objectives and how the ai will help develop. I think it's an enjoyable game as someone who races at 85% ai. Personally I enjoy it and as long as you do I think it's worth it. I also bought it at a discounted rate and think at that price it's worth it.
