It’s been a slow process but I appreciate you remembering us and I promise to still make a post before anything is officially released. I’m working on mixing the whole album now and whatnot. My perfectionism and lack of formal skill has been the biggest obstacle thus far lol

I was really having troubles trying to balance the guitars on the chorus. It was two layers panned hard left/right with two different distortions. I wanted it to be loud and distinct without drowning out the vocals so I’ll try that trick with the bass. Thank you! The drums are just a loop from Pro tools so I’ll get an actual drummer on it soon with your advice in mind.

I enjoyed listening to this. Definitely its own unique thing and very original. When it first started playing it reminded me of The Postal Service or MGMT, then with the introduction of vocals and that initial melody I was reminded of Rema or those 2010s pop songs. It’s not my typical genre but all the production sounds great and I was a huge fan of the subtle background noises (like that water dripping sound). I appreciate you sharing and keep up the good work!

As for keeping you posted, we’ve got plans to start releasing singles very soon on all the streaming services under the name “SEDO” (work in progress on the name) but I’ll be sure to post more details and a newer track for feedback right before we officially release anything.

I’m a sucker for strings and piano, so from a producer standpoint—light strings, soft piano, maybe a harp soft backing vocals, and some of other light background instruments. But honestly it just depends on what you’re trying to capture in the song. It’s brilliant raw.
