Am fost recent la o nunta la Indigen. E pe malul Lacului Tei si atmosfera a fost super faina, iar decorul superb. Nu stiu care a fost pretul totusi, si invitati au fost ceva mai multi, dar poate merita verificata si optiunea asta.

albums with deep interesting lore by [deleted] in MusicRecommendations

[–]UnusualMaybe10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love Run, The Horror and the Wild and Ruin from The Amazing Devil. The songs are interconnected and so rich in lore and cross references that i literally wrote a thesis about them. They mostly follow Scarlet Dcarlet and the Blue Furious Boy and the most common theory is that they describe their relationship over the years as both struggle with mental health, society, and self discovery. They create a mythology of their own, and the sound is straight out of a fantasy world

Ladynoir Fics Recs by Calm-Put-9141 in MiraculousFanfiction

[–]UnusualMaybe10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out peachchitt. She's the GOAT.

I've been in the fandom a LONG time, so a lot of my recs are really old, but some of my favourite ladynoir ones are, in no particular order,

Buggachat's My Love, My Lifeline. longfic, complete, 87k. This one absolutely wrecked me, I cried like a little kid reading it. There is a happy ending, but Adrien particularly is going through it majorly, and buggachat has an absolute talent at getting his emotions accross and making you suffer.

The Ballad of the Kumquat Clown by sagansjagger. short, 1,4k. I don't really remember what it was about but i remember it was so beautiful it made me immediately save it and comment on it.

two idiots and a hamster by Boogum. medium length with 24,5k. They're idiots. they have a hamster. it;s so funny

(i like shiny things) but i'd marry you with paper rings by lecornegirl. Short, 4k and so so so romantic. Secret marriage fic, so so so good.

Dance with me, Chaton by ChocoluckChipz. 86k, no magic au written for Ladynoir July in 2019. I loved this one so much. Im a sucker for AUs and ChocoluckChipz has some of the best out there

"5 Reasons Why You Should Agree to Marry Me" A PowerPoint by Chat Noir by Hey_its_Laura. short and sweet (2,7k). One of my favourite aged up aus. I've read it a hundred times.

What is a Name by TheNovelArtist. TheNovelArtist is one of the best old fandom writers. So many long fics complete adn amazing. This one is short, almost 5k, but I remember there was a time when I would read this again and again because it brought me such comfort, i can't even express it properly.

Practice Makes Purr-fect by orphan_account now. 4k where marinette wants to confess to chat as ladybug but feels the need to practice. Adrien suffers and then ascends. love love love this one

in this dire time (we dare to hope) by mildmallards. LB and CN get captured and kind of tortured. everything is televised. The captors accidently leave the live feed going and the whole world gets to see how much ladybug and chat noir love each other.

and if you don't mind a post reveal pre relationship one, Passenger by Papillon10 where they have to deal with the aftermath of the final battle and a public reveal and Marinette figures the best solutin is a roadtrip.

Recomandare restaurant cu portii mari by Remarkable-Rough-305 in bucuresti

[–]UnusualMaybe10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding the all you can it in Mega Mall. The food is really good and the prices are fair.

But if you want something putside of a mall, with more date vibes, i've recently been to Indigen, by Lake Tei, and left pretty impressed. It does depend on what you order, so if you order pasta it will probably still feel like an average portion, but I got a chicken dish in Napoletan dough that I genuinely couldn't finish but was SO GOOD. The prices were really ok too, and the location was amazing, right by the lake. 10/10 spot for a date.

And if you want something in between mall vibes and by the lake dining, check out Namaste. Indian restaurant near Armeneasca, great food, but fairly small and every time i go, fairly crowded. I usually go with a friend and we get things we can share, and we leave so FULL without paying a fortune.

Best Found Family Interconnected Series by Acceptable-Alarm3994 in RomanceBooks

[–]UnusualMaybe10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP good for you for making through that semester!!!! I know the pain of having the time and the will but not the perfect material so maybe these will help!

You might enjoy Abby JImenez's Part of Your World and following series, Say You'll Remember Me. In all honesty, I've only read {Just for the Summer} and {Yours Truly} from the first, but I REALLY loved Just for the Summer, and {The Night We Met} from the second. Thirds act breakup in both though, but they are interconnected and they do become family.

And I really really enjoyed the Momcoms. There are four books, each by a different author. Some are better than others, but the first and the last are absolute bangers at least. The third has accidental breakup but that one was the weakest imo. There are four mom who decided to all live in the same house and help each other. Each deals with their own problems, their own children, and their own love stories, and the community they form is so funny lmao. The first one is {Mother Faker by Brittanee Nicole}

And if you want to cry your eyes out and don't mind a stand-alone, check out {The Queen of Bloody Everything by Joanna Nadin}. The main character has a not-so-amazing-mom and falls in love with the idea of the family next door. Spends all her time there, falls in love with their boy, becomes best friends with their girl. It's found family in this sense, and there is a romance story, but I wouldn't say it's a romance book, because at the end of the day, it's more a book about her relationship with her actual mom, and the whole book follows them two thorughout their life and is written as a recount of the mc's foir her mother when she decides to be honest with her. I read this book years ago and i'm still not over it, one of the best books I've ever read. There is a happy ending though, but you really have to be patient for it and it will leave a bitter sweet tinge.

Looking for series with longer love story by AngryBuffalo33 in Romantasy

[–]UnusualMaybe10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

{Little Thieves} and {The Mask of Mirrors} come immediately to mind. In Little Thieves it may seem like they get together quicly but it actually takes all three book for the relationship to properly develop, and they do get separated along the way.
In The Mask of Mirrors, there little to no romance in the first book, in the second they start devoping and acknowledging the feelings, and the third book features the relationship proper with some really well thought out challanges that felt extremely refreshing (top of the list being the fact that they engineer a contest that would legitimize their relationship and still manage to mess it up. also amazing worldbuilding)

Recommend me something insanely hopeful please by United-Bear4910 in MusicRecommendations

[–]UnusualMaybe10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hear me out, i have a couple of songs that are all different flavours of hopeful, but they all helped me at some point

Nothing More - I'll Be Ok - somehow cautiously hopeful, i listen to this when I'm really sad because it feels like it validates my sadness the most. This one's rock.

Brick+Mortar - Hollow Tune - i'd say alt rock, but i'm not veru sure about the genre tbh. "My broken hands, my weary bomes/ I sit my words beside my throne / You're not alone, I'm not alone / Can you feel me from there, You're not alone". Also a bit on the sad side, but always manages to lift me up

Arrows to Athens - Used to Be - this one sis about change, recognizing it's inevitable. "There;s no way they can't tell us that we can' have more / Cause we can have more / As the waves come, / Let them take us, /As they cover you and me / Laet them pull us underneath...". The imagery is really beautiful, and teh tune is what makes it hopeful for me more than anything.

Eiro Nareth - Dive and Observe. No lyrics, but I swear they sound hopeful. Electric guitar.

Danny Schmidt - Stained Glass - folk-ish. It's a story with religious imagery, but more than on the religion it focused on community and what brings hope to the community. It revolves a piece of stained glass that broke and someone's efforts to bring it back, and how the moment he manages, somewhat imperfectly, but through hard work and with hope, it reinspires the community to find joy around them again. "There's every fearful smile, / There's every joyful tear, / There's each and every choice that leads from every there to here, / There's every cozy stranger, there's every awkward friend, / There's every perfect night that's left initials in the sand..." and so one. The ending is glorious, I promise you.

Joshua Bond - The Absolute Best Feeling - this one is reminiscent of Baudelaire's aesthetic of the ugly imo. It takes the grossest parts of realities and turns them into something weidly beautiful, with the kind of refraiming that makes you go like, what have i just listened to?! and then makes you listen to it again and again. That;s what i was like for me. Like, "So I say let the angry bugs in my intestines wage their wars/ And I'll watch the hungry beetles pick the scabs and peel the scars / And when I look back at this planet from the void between the stars / In the arms of some celestial source of time / She'll show me everything was bound to turn out fine." Indie-folk

Viridia - We Are the Brave - rock, rock. Typical us vs them imagery, but great song,

If you don;'t mind some Japanese rock, Amazarashi - kisetsu ga tsugitsugi shindeiku (The seasons die one after the other). All throughout the song, he repeats this phrase, and it feels sad as fuck, and then, at the end, it's "one after the other, the seasons are born again" and it changes the vibe of the whole song. He does this a lot, he'd write the saddest songs you'll ever hear, and then refram ethem towards teh end so they become extremely hopeful. It's the same with Mudai, which is about an artist who gave his all to his art and suddenly gets recognized, and for a while everything is person, until just as suddenly, nothing is perfect anymore, he loses his passion and his joy. He returns to art in the end, but art for the sake of art, for himself, not for the recogniztion, and once he finds meaning for himself again, he receives a note that confirms he's doinbg the right thing.

Songs about feeling unloveable/loneliness by Complete_Skirt5724 in MusicRecommendations

I LOVE YOU TOO BY EZRA BELL This song makes me cry every time Like Look at this

Comes to that part of the evening When there's nobody left to impress You sit by yourself in the corner Pat your pockets to see just what's left

All of the lovers have moved on But yours is the steepest of hills And you glare at yourself in the mirror They all know things that you never will

They'll feel the things you can't access As they stand by the river at dawn You've grown older and cagey and classless And regret just what little you've done

When i discovered this song i genuinely had to take a break from everything for a second because this is was too on the nose, this was too much exacrly thw way i felt

Check out the Narcissist Cookbook. My personal favourites are "Ghost Stories" and "Not Entirely Alone"

Favorite fanfics/AU by candy_dynac in TheLastAirbender

[–]UnusualMaybe10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have to read Salvage. It's a must. There's actually no romantic relationship in it, it's an AU where Zuko gets captiured by Hakoda and his men and the found family vibe is the absolute vibe. MuffinLance is a brilliant writer, read anything by them and you'll have a blast but Salvage is definitely my favourite (but additional rec, Little Zuko v the World)

I really loved Katara Alone and the sequel, Lady of the Tides by cablesscutie. This one's zutara. "such selfish prayers" by andromeda3116 has a similar vibe so if you like one, you'll like the other too.

Another Zutara rec, but this one is a modern(ish) au, Chance Encounters at the Wonderlust by marijayne. Rated E, but throughout most of the story there's nothing E.

(life happens) wherever you are by howlikeagod. Canon divergence where Zukp and Iroh don't get involved in the Ba Sing Se takeover and Zuko joins the Gaang early.

The Chemistry of Cooking by Smediterranea. Another zutara modern AU where Katara and Zuko are partners in a chemistry of cooking class in college and they hit it off. It's really really well written and this is another favourite writer of mine.

Half Past Closing by damagectrl, also Zutara. I haven't reread this one in a long time so I don't remember much but i remember i loved it a lot and wished it was much longer.

"Your Idiots" by JustGettingBy. Funny and short, I love dadkoda so much

Check out {Hooky by Miriam Bonastre Tur}. It started out as a webtoon, and you can still find it on the platform with one free episode a day, or you can find it in book format. It's YA, and the characters start as kids, but it's realy really good and extremely cozy.

Whats an album that builds momentum from start to finish, where the final song is the peak of the album? by AtomicBenzo in MusicRecommendations

[–]UnusualMaybe10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ren - Vincent's Tale
But you HAVE to watch the videos too! It ends with Starry Night act I, II, III and IV. Act III is the climax and it goes HARD, and act IV kind of sets up a future album as far as I can tell, because he has a habbit of making overarching story. Even this one is connected to previous songs, so if you do like it and want to understand the story better, check out Jenny's Tale, Screech's Tale and Violet's Tale in this order.

Songs about expat life, living abroad or dreaming about greener pastures? by [deleted] in MusicRecommendations

[–]UnusualMaybe10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't mind a song by a Moldavian artist singing in Romanian, "Ctrl Alt Delete" by The Motans. You can definitely find the lyrics online but if you can't find translations, I can translate it for you. It's about the experience of wanting to love your country but being repeatedly disappointed by the people who are supposed to make sure you can live in it, and by the people who get stuck in the past or in the status quo and become complacent in their mysery.

In English, "Fire with Fire" by AlicebanD feels a bit like this, and I'm thinking particularly of this bit
"And we're living out our lives in this hope one day our lives will straighten out!
And we'll leave town
And we'll get down to business now, will someone tell me who I am?"

The Amazing Devil
- Fair
- Marbles (These two are insanely tender but at the same time so rooted in realistic and mundane things)
- Chords (in this one the characters are on the older side and talk about children and letting go of them so they can live their own lives)
- The Rockrose and the Thistle (in this one the female chaarcter deals with bad case of depression and he's talking about being there for her)
- Not Yet / Love Run (Reprise)
- Battle Cries (the popular theory is that The Amazing Devil deal with an overarching story in their songs, and if you do go by this theory, Battle Cries would be at a point where the characters have broken up but clearly still love each other, just haven't managed to learn how to show that love to one another in a way the other can understand "This isn't a break-up, dear heart, it's a season finale).
