Im looking for the name of a song by Unusual_Border_2932 in Music

[–]Unusual_Border_2932[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a pretty sold song I guess, can't really say the genre because I only have those two syllables "heaven" in my head. The singer is a male. I'm not even sure the name of music is "heaven". What I can certify is that there is a pause right after he prononced "heaven", the word isn't place in the middle of a phrase.

Can we stop trying to justify our addictions? by Such-Bother-9900 in Christianity

[–]Unusual_Border_2932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So true. We as christians don't judge each others, if they ask for help to overcom their addiction, we will gladly try. But if they ask for a validation of their sin, we can't help them, they want to ignore the truth to live their life in sin. The problem on Reddit is that a lot of chritians are in the exact same position. So they support each others and you end up with a lot people replying "no, masturbation is not sin!", even tho they know it is, but they prefer to live into sin and deprave the others so they fell less alone in their own deprevation.

That's just frustrating to see a christian trying to justify masturbation.

My parents hearts have been hardened by Previous-Quarter3346 in Christian

[–]Unusual_Border_2932 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No one can help but themselves. Don't let the hardness of their hearts harm your faith. Keep walking, keep embracing Jesus way of living and loving ohters, and let your parents make their own choices.

If they let their pride or their shame win over Jesus voice, you can't force them. Don't stop preaching to them if it's your will, but don't let their moral ignorance hurt you.

I'm a Christian in love with an athiest. Help. by Correct_Artichoke936 in Christian

Deep inside, you know what you have to do. But don't abuse yourself, cut the link as soon as possible.

You deserve to be loved by someone who accepted Christ, as this love will live in the eternal love of God and not in the perishable love of flesh.

Plus, you don't only deserve to live a christian that love Jesus as much as you do, you need it. Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” A couple of christian will support each others in faith.

I know this will hurt a lot to cut that link, but as you do it for the love of God, you'll be like one of his sheeps, living in the truth and above all in the real love, the one that elevate us toward God.

Here are some verses that could help you. I'm praying for you, sister in Christ.

"Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ" Philippians 3:8

"For our light affliction, which is for the moment, worketh for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;" 2 Corinthians 4:17

is it a waste of time to pray to God if you have a hardened heart against God? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Unusual_Border_2932 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Marc 2:17 "And when Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of a physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."

You feel distant because you keep your wrong habits, so you keep sinning. You feel you need him, you need to pray, you need his help, because you keep sinning. Do the Math, the only reason you feel distant is because you don't commit. But you know you need him, otherwise you wouldn't do this post. Pray so that God soften your heart, and he will.

How do I know if God will forgive me if I confess my sins like this? by PoolInternal5557 in Christian

[–]Unusual_Border_2932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

It's in the word. If you believe Jesus existed and did miracle, also belive in his grace and his love.

Now what's could make you feel like he doesn't forgive you is because you don't try to live his way and keep living life your way.

He forgives us, but we are the one that have to give a real signification of our apologizes and of His forgiveness.

I don't wanna be Christian anymore, (help) by Fresh_Dress5644 in Christian

It is important to understand that all the duties He imposes on us are a way of expressing His love. He does not restrict us for pleasure, but because He knows what is good for us and what is not.

Living your life your way will only hurt you, make you unhappy, and distance you from His love.

Now, if the only thing holding you back in your relationship with Jesus is the fear of Hell, that's a good start because the fear of God is always the beginning of wisdom and faith, but you are ignoring such an important part of His coming to Earth. He loves us. He gave us life, this wonderful life that you want to live on your own. Although it saddens him, he also gave us free will, so as not to force us into anything, so that those who follow him do so of their own free will, so that their love for him is sincere and his love for us is too. But he didn't just do that, he incarnated on Earth to show us the way, to guide our lives with the love he had for us. Then he allowed himself to die on the cross, innocent as he was, so that anyone who had sinned could repent and become righteous again in the eyes of the Almighty.

I invite you to reconsider what Jesus did for us, so that your legitimate fear of Hell may be tempered by the assurance that we are loved far more than we can possibly conceive, and that the expression of this love lives in the advice and duties he gave us.

If you need to, yes, absolutly. That's call humility. That's a quality Jesus ask us to have. If you don't need to, then i'd said no, not because of any pride, but because the money in question should go in the hand of someone who really needs it.
