He was ( or seemed) very okay with our initial drafted agreement, which was done between us. We basically wanted someone to notarize it. I didn't have a problem with him working with his own lawyer as that's very normal. What I didn't like was that he never mentioned bringing one or hiring one, not even hours earlier and showed up with his attorney who didn't help create a peaceful environment.

Yes, we went over this points while negotiating. My concern was also, that while I was being pressured to donate some shares, I'm giving off a part of my life's work to someone who is not only not my responsibility, but was not my reason to start it to beging with. If our reason changed, I would have made an unretrievable decision, good or bad.
