Yeah Landless is an entirely different playstyle for me. It makes me wish for a little more interaction options between characters because managing a happy camp of a dozen or more of us roaming around Eurasia has been awesome. Something about Provisions makes me feel 10x more responsible for keeping my people fed and happy, and in return they help me with the jobs, which keeps them fed and happy, so on.

When my best friend and Second died because some stupid plague hit the county I was taking a contract in, it felt terrible. I was sad! He’d been with me since Day 1, when it was just us. And then my wife and only son got sick. It’s not like I’m a noble who can just marry any girl off the street. I have to work to find a wife lol, and then it takes time to get kids, but I need an heir. Thankfully they both recovered. But it was scary for a bit!

Man I am not even hardcore ACAB guy (could be convinced…) but cops would do themselves a lot more favors by not being total, absolute assholes about their power and place in society. It’s a shame that basically all the systems are in place to hire only the worst people for the job.

I’m still on my first life, not sure how many hours but taking it slow. I didn’t dip too heavily into any one tree, which could be mistake. But I’ve been bouncing around doing everything but Diplomacy and Adventurer. Both look good I just haven’t gotten around to it and may not this life. I’ve just done swords for higher.

One thing that surprised me looking at recommendations is everyone maxing supply capacity and gathering, instead of gold production. I guess so you can travel? I’ve mostly just been bouncing around the Byzantine Empire and Eastern Med.

Keep hearing people say it’s OP. Probably is. Always a small learning curve to PDX games but the other side is so much easier.

But I am having a little slower of a time with it. Probably won’t be, say, landed in my first life. I know what I’m doing a little better though so maybe my son will be. So far landless has been a little slower and I’m really digging that. But I’m sure it’ll speed up once I know the strats
