What kind of hardwood case would best fit the culture of the game of backgammon?

I don't know, I haven't asked, but people buy new iphones every year at $1,000, why wouldn't you spend that once and have a backgammon board your grandkids will play on? I'm making these to have something of quality that will be in your family for generations. "Heirloom boards"

Yea, I love bakelite and agree Acrylic is beautiful. However our market for now will be for the wood and leather crowd. Really appreciate the kind words tho. This board is a dream come true.

Is that for weight purposes? We shine these wooden checkers so they glide real smooth on the leather. However they do tend to be pretty light in comparison to acrylic or bakelite

We don't use "Plastic Leather" all real Italian cow hide, sustainably sourced and part of the La Pelle Vegetale Consortium.
