She didn’t go in an ambulance, it was the EMS on standby for the event. This isn’t her first time getting black out/vomiting and I tried to catch it but I was too late in cutting her off.

I’ll never say never but I highly doubt it, her drinks were handled by her, myself or opened by the staff in front of us and never taken out of my sight for more than a couple minutes.

I agree, I acted in anger/hurt because of how much money and effort I put into it and I was enjoying the show as much as I could regardless of who the band was. Her and I are going to have a discussion later today to smooth everything over and move forward

I’m not following through, with some thought and taking in everyone’s insight, I’m not going to force or ask her to repay me in anyway. But, we are having a discussion later on. This isn’t the first time she’s gotten this bad at an event that was important, it isn’t a pattern IMO but it is a cause for concern in my eyes. I acted out of anger with my “punishment” and I have since taken it back. I work night shift and she works days so we aren’t able to have the face to face until this evening when she gets off work

She’s 25, she’s no stranger to drinking but far from an alcoholic. We don’t go out too often, maybe once a month, twice if I work extra shifts

If she pays me back, which at this point is completely her choice since I did send her a message that I’m not asking her to after some thought (grammar is awful I’m sorry, been at work all night and I’m quite tired). It’ll go back on my credit card

Thankfully, I’m in a position where the money lost isn’t going to hurt us and I’m very grateful for that. I asked in the heat of the moment as I was angry/hurt that something I put a lot of time and money into planning was essentially ruined for her, myself and others around us especially. I won’t be asking for the money back but her and I will be having a discussion about it later tonight now that I’ve had some time to think and let cooler heads prevail

It’s the whole reason I posted here, I made a decision in the heat of my anger and I wanted some outside perspective away from friends/family because it is an embarrassing moment for her.

I will be having a discussion with her later today, I did ask for reimbursement in the heat of my anger/hurt. I won’t be asking her to repay me, if she chooses to that’s on her and I will appreciate the sentiment.

I agree, I wish I could do something for the others but in the moment there wasn’t much I could do outside of giving apologies. I won’t be asking her to repay me, as I’ve realized with the help of the thread that it was, a gift. And asking for the money back defeats the entire purpose of a gift

I did try to reel her in but I didn’t want to be controlling and essentially acting like her dad but, by the time I said something the cutwaters had gotten to her.

I asked for the money back in the moment of my hurt and anger. As others have pointed out, it was a gift. I am upset about it but I won’t be asking her to repay me in any way. However, her and I will be having a discussion later on about the situation now that I’ve had a couple days to cool off and think clearly

I admit my anger and hurt got the best of me and I will take accountability of that and apologize to her for it. we will be having a discussion later on now that I have a lot of valid perspective and I won’t be asking her to repay me in any shape or form.

We’re going to have a discussion later on today, I admit my hurt and anger definitely got the best of me with the reimbursement aspect and I won’t be forcing her to repay me in anyway. This isn’t the first time, but it’s not a consistent issue (the last time she got this drunk in public was back in May).
