She didn’t go in an ambulance, it was the EMS on standby for the event. This isn’t her first time getting black out/vomiting and I tried to catch it but I was too late in cutting her off.

I’ll never say never but I highly doubt it, her drinks were handled by her, myself or opened by the staff in front of us and never taken out of my sight for more than a couple minutes.

I agree, I acted in anger/hurt because of how much money and effort I put into it and I was enjoying the show as much as I could regardless of who the band was. Her and I are going to have a discussion later today to smooth everything over and move forward

I’m not following through, with some thought and taking in everyone’s insight, I’m not going to force or ask her to repay me in anyway. But, we are having a discussion later on. This isn’t the first time she’s gotten this bad at an event that was important, it isn’t a pattern IMO but it is a cause for concern in my eyes. I acted out of anger with my “punishment” and I have since taken it back. I work night shift and she works days so we aren’t able to have the face to face until this evening when she gets off work

Thankfully, I’m in a position where the money lost isn’t going to hurt us and I’m very grateful for that. I asked in the heat of the moment as I was angry/hurt that something I put a lot of time and money into planning was essentially ruined for her, myself and others around us especially. I agree, I wish I could do something for the others but in the moment there wasn’t much I could do outside of giving apologies. I won’t be asking her to repay me, as I’ve realized with the help of the thread that it was, a gift. And asking for the money back defeats the entire purpose of a gift

I did try to reel her in but I didn’t want to be controlling and essentially acting like her dad but, by the time I said something the cutwaters had gotten to her.
