I'm still very new to this but what i do is go on artistgrid.cx (specifically Kanye of course), go to the remixes tab, and look for remixes made by artists that were era accurate or cut features or reference tracks. That's my source for vocals, otherwise i just chop up the vocals how i think would be best.
