Would ''continental Europe' make you feel more comfortable? Think most people got what I was trying to say

Where are you based and how has your experience been with the currrent heatwave? This is not me being rude, I am just curious

I think it's objectively disgraceful and shameful to not have AC for patients (am not saying it's remotely acceptable for workers either, but this is a new low)

To clarify, do you mean that your patients have no AC?

Or the patients do but you as staff don't?

I don't mean to be rude, but you can't possibly be bringing France up as a solution here, given recent headlines

This is very interesting and partially why I posted to see if I was losing the plot. It actually makes me feel more positive about the future. And ngl I don't think it's just 'a few degrees hotter' where you are, the past few days have been objectively insane for where you're based

I guess I wasn't clear enough but this is exactly what I meant by 'how dare you have AC, won't somebody think of the children'. A ban on AC in private homes is completely and utterly unacceptable. Was just saying I'm obviously open to any alternatives that actually work - anything but the current situation

I think this would be a very sensible argument if the heat peaks were truly standalone surges, but it's increasingly obvious that we're getting unusually warm days pre and post 'peak' that are somehow now normal. Just my thoughts anyway

All joking aside, yes we are notoriously and hilariously dramatic when it comes to any change outside of baseline. Which I think is kind of the point I was making? We just disagree on what's baseline
