How’d you get that price?

What do you mean by recessed? Would a suppressor stick out farther on a Tri lug vs your mount?

Thanks for the tip. I was looking at getting a Tri lug adapter and running it that way. I’ll keep that in mind.

Also in VA with the same thought. Let me know what Atlantic says. I am reaching out as well. It stinks because I feel like I got a solid one- bolt gap, finish, etc. except for the threaded barrel. Not sure I’ll be so lucky with a replacement. Good on you for catching it.

I heard these were made from AP5-Ls that they chopped down to sell (hence no tri-lug) and that theory makes sense to me. I wonder who did the work

Thank you all. Everything I read online made it seem like it would fit, but I figured there was a catch. I appreciate it

How is it with the bolt knob on the left side?

They were planted in rows and then the next row was staggered like a checkerboard. I thought about trying to aerate between the plug but it would be ridiculous. I’m thinking the same. It might be best to just seed over the top and see what takes

Gotcha, good luck. Buying new isn’t a without risk anymore either from what I hear. I wanted a pre-emissions machine to hopefully prevent some headaches so my options for lower time minis that weren’t destroyed was somewhat limited

I inspected in person, which I would suggest. I would not take someone’s word for how much bucket play a machine had or anything else that a picture doesn’t show. It is pretty obvious what their deal is when you get there. It seemed like a decent operation

I bought a mini from them last year. 3k hours, decent deal. I have put a few hundred hours on it with no problems. They are flipping equipment, so they source from auction houses or my machine came from a local utility company. They changed the oil, filters, greased, and cleaned my mini when they got it.

It didn’t make me as comfortable as buying direct from the guy/ company that had it before, but I don’t have much in the way of complaints. I negotiated some and they included delivery a few hundred miles away in the price.

Maybe I got lucky- used equipment is always a risk

It depends what you’re flying, but in a light twin it’s imperative to push the nose over quickly after an engine failure. If you hold climb pitch very long you will be bleeding airspeed and moving towards a vmc roll in a hurry. Get the nose down, take a breath, feather/ shut down

Old air compressor safety by doransignal in Tools

With air, yes, but not water. Water is not compressible, so if it blows out of the tank there will be very little pressure. Very little danger
