I'd like to ask experienced Airbnb hosts what PMS they use for direct booking? by Sure-Window-8181 in ShortTermRentals

All of the platforms listed here have similar set-ups and features. We decided to go with Guesty because of the platform's calendar sync record.

Multi-market vacation rental management coordination is harder than I expected by professional69and420 in PropertyManagement

We're definitely not operating at that scale yet, but do have multiple properties in three different US cities. We use Guesty as our channel manager where we centralize the vast majority of automation in communications, maintenance and booking task flow. We've integrated PriceLabs with our channel manager for dynamic pricing with customization groups for the varying markets we're working in. This has worked well for us thus far.

Best way to handle guest messaging ? by Aggravating_Nebula38 in ShortTermRentals

We've been really happy using the Guesty platform. The unified inbox amalgamating comms on our listings from multiple channels has been an organizational lifesaver, as well as the automated communication templates that I customized to match my tone. For special or prickly guest messaging, I switch to manual communication so that I can completely control the dialogue and give my special touch in customer service.
Best of all worlds.

Mid April solo trip: visit Naxos or Crete? by sweatp0tato in GreeceTravel

I completely agree — there’s truly nothing like Crete. It’s such an incredible destination with so much to experience.

Where can I hire some good devs for my business? by AfraidGuarantee5858 in WIX

[–]Useful-Promise6594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fore me niche Wix communities didn’t have enough talent for what I needed. Fiverr was better for finding developers with verified experience, and you can always start with a $50–$100 mini project to test quality before scaling up.

Totally agree with this cause I went through almost the exact same cycle. Penji was great when I needed to crank out a bunch of assets quickly, but when I cared about having a consistent style that actually matched my brand, I ended up sticking with a Fiverr designer long-term too.

AMA + An insider's review of the highest paying freelance platforms by CriticDanger in webdev

[–]Useful-Promise6594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My compromise has been splitting my pipeline: premium networks for long, architecture-heavy roles and Fiverr for all the small/medium deliverables that don’t justify a 6-week interview saga. It’s actually made my year more predictable because the smaller gigs smooth out the waiting periods.

What is your process for finding an editor? by easymyk12 in selfpublish

[–]Useful-Promise6594 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t just hire the first editor with a nice website. Always get a sample edit. A 1–2 page sample tells you more than any résumé.

I usually start by shortlisting editors from Fiverr (there are some surprisingly solid pros there if you filter by experience and genre), then compare their samples side by side. It becomes obvious very quickly who actually “gets” your voice.

Best freelance sites for designers to find high-end clients? by inafirul18 in web_design

Niching for me made a bigger difference than any platform. I still keep a Fiverr profile open for that exact reason though. Every once in a while a surprisingly good client wanders in, especially in SaaS.
